Who: Frau and OPEN (so far it should also include Lieselotte Achebach, Sasuke Uchiha, and Lisbeth)
When: Somewhere between 9/20 and 10/7 or so
Where: Various sectors, see individual threads
Summary: Frau is pretty distraught over Teito's disappearance. Without his light, he's slipping further into the darkness and going after souls he wouldn't usually go after. More info here
Warnings: Lots of swearing, corruption, fighting... just general not goodness probably
Everything was so dark. Again. Frau had faced the darkness before. He'd lived in it for a long time, watched it slowly get worse, slowly drag him down. Now, though, it was different. Now, without his light, without Teito, it seemed so much worse again. Without the kid to guide him out of the darkness that surrounded him and consumed him, he didn't know what to do. It's what had led him out to hunt so often recently. He wasn't being that careful either. So far nobody had even suspected there was one person consuming others throughout the city. There hadn't been a mention of it at all even though it had been months. Frau was careful.
Now he wasn't. Hunting during the day was fine. He was even going after people he wouldn't usually target. They were still corrupted, sure, but their souls weren't blackened beyond redemption. At this point though, he didn't care. Part of him might have recognized the fact that the scythe probably had a stronger grip on him than it should, but this time he wasn't fighting it back. He'd slipped a bit. Not enough that consuming one of them could destroy him, but the path he walked was a slippery slope. There was only so much longer he could hold on.
((OOC Note: For those Frau is targeting or those who notice him, feel free to start a new thread. I'd include the sector and date in the subject line if you can. Frau's going to be roaming pretty much anywhere, so feel free to use any sector even though he lives in 4 and works in 5.))

Not only was his desire for a soul much smaller, he knew he couldn't go after Sasuke even if it was. The kid's soul was dark, yes, but it wasn't corrupted beyond redemption. He wasn't the type of food that Frau was willing to eat.
He turned away from Sasuke to gaze out over the edge of the rooftop as he tried to figure out what to do now. Before he could do that though, he spotted someone watching them. That wasn't good. Without a moment of hesitation, he shot toward Sasuke, grabbed the back of his collar and tossed him over his shoulder. It was all one nice fluid motion that Frau had done so many times before. Within a second, he was dashing toward the next roof over, Sasuke in tow.

The sudden change in intent unsettled him momentarily, but he remembered himself in time to start forming seals when Frau ran for him. He didn't get to the inhalation stage, though, because Frau wasn't running at him, he was running past him, and then there was a shoulder slamming into his diaphragm and knocking the wind out of him.
Fuck.
He hissed, and began to struggle. Fireball was out if he couldn't breathe, but a knee to the ribs might work, or an elbow if he aimed for the kidneys. He could likely call up some lightning as well, although not a full chidori, but it would be enough for Frau to let him go.

"LET ME GO!"
This was humiliating, undignified--infuriating. He wouldn't stand for it. Though it was a little more challenging, it only took a bit more focus to mold chakra while upside down and flying across rooftops; his hands made rapid seals and electricity flooded his palm, making the hair on the back of his arm stand up.

Frau hadn't even noticed that he's used the same nickname he'd always used with Teito. He used it a lot with kids this age.
When he felt the electricity Frau knew right away that it wasn't a good thing. He wasn't all that sure where it would be aimed, but he had a good feeling it would be at him. Since he wasn't quite willing to become a lightning rod, he used his free hand to call up some zaiphon and direct it around his head and lower body. It should protect him from anything the kid threw at him.
no subject
Damn it. No.
He bit, scratched; tried again to shove his knee into the man's ribs. He sent bursts of chakra to his muscles as they moved to give himself a harder hit.
no subject
Duh. That wasn't all that important right now though. At the moment, he needed to find somewhere out of the public eye. Like the roof of a really tall or wide building. Perhaps that one. As long as they stood in the middle of it nobody would even notice they were there.
He bounded that way, hoping he moved fast enough that nobody would see him land on it and decide it would be a good idea to call security or the police. Once he was sure they were out of eyeshot, he released his hold on Sasuke and dropped his zaiphon shields.

Finally.
He rolled backwards, flew through the seals and blasted a fireball at his attacker, strong with his fury and the chakra he'd been unable to release while he was being abducted.

The fire slammed into the shield and pushed Frau back a bit as he strained to hold it. Despite the zaiphon, he could feel the heat on his face. It was kind of nice actually.

He was in the middle of examining them when the caught the flash of metal. At he last minute he shifted slightly aside. Whatever these things were, it didn't look like they would do a lot of damage, but Frau would prefer not to ruin another coat.

Bastard.
Sasuke yanked on the wire and the shuriken came apart, flying towards Frau from as many directions as he could manage. Damn it, he would get a hit.
no subject
"Holy..."
Frau tried to dodge aside and avoid those blades, but he couldn't get away from all of them. When one ripped into his upper arm he knew he couldn't hold back anymore. Before another one could hit him he pulled the scythe from his arm and slashed out with it.

The sensation of metal embedding itself into flesh was deeply satisfying. Finally.
But for a moment, an image flashed in his head of Itachi taking the same hit from Sasuke's hand.
His gut clenched.
But he shook it off--his opponent was slashing at the pieces of his shuriken with that scythe from earlier. The sound of them connecting rang in his ears. Now that his breath had come back, he sucked in air and made the seals--the second fireball was bigger than the first.
no subject
Normally he would have enjoyed spinning the scythe and coming straight down on his target. This time he landed well to the side and kept the scythe with him.
"Would you knock it off?!"
no subject
"What do you want from me," he snapped, mangekyou wheeling, taking in every fiber on Frau's clothing, the individual strands of his hair.
no subject
Frau almost sounded sad and a little bit worn down. As he spoke he allowed the scythe to lower to the ground so the head was resting there. He'd started with unintentionally and now he somehow had to find a way to finish it. Sasuke's anger was understandable.
no subject
Sasuke tensed further at the lowering of the weapon. A feint. Trying to lull him into a false sense of security so he could get in a blow. "You wouldn't have grabbed me and taken me to a secluded rooftop if you wanted to do nothing. Tell me the truth."
no subject
Frau couldn't help feeling a little bit frustrated, though it was mostly with himself. He'd slipped up and gotten himself into this situation. Unfortunately there just didn't seem to be any good way out of it.
"You wouldn't want to hear anything now anyway. And you wouldn't believe me either."
no subject
Frau still wasn't moving, but that didn't mean the situation was any more safe. Sasuke had seen impeccable acting by dozens of enemies in the past--there was no reason to put down his guard.
But he knew an opening when he saw one, and even if fleeing was part of Frau's plan, all he had to do was be faster. He wouldn't be caught by surprise again.
So he blasted a third fireball, making sure it caught anything on the roof that would be flammable, and used the blaze to jump for the ground and take off down a side street.
no subject
"You damn well better behave."
It growled in annoyance as Frau began forcing it back into his arm. Once he'd returned it completely, he turned and bounded away across the roofs so he could return home.
