[OPEN] (Yay for something cheerful)
Who:Anyone and everyone. Barflies, musicians, employees, friends, people looking for a public toilet, whoever!
When:Tonight
Where:The Cat's Eye (Bar & Bistro, hold the gourmet)
Summary:It's Tuesday Night Music Club, guys. Musicians, poets, fire dancers, and all other performers welcome. Make your own threads if you want, threadjack stuff, mix and mingle. This is a party log.
Warnings:That's up to you cats and kittens. Yosuke will be behaving himself, (yes he's done being depressing over dead friends now) but that doesn't mean everyone else has to!
Prose or [action] are both fine!
[The Cat's Eye finally has regular hours, and with the regular hours come special events. Yosuke usually turns the OPEN sign on bright and early on Saturdays, but Tuesdays the hours don't start until after he gets out of class. The sandwich board out front advertises an open mic night, acoustic sets given preference this week. But if a metal band happens to show, they'll still be given a slot.
It's just an experiment, to try and help get the restaurant back in shape again. Wells and drafts are half price, and so are the house wines. Black coffee is free with the purchase of an appetizer or dessert. And there's a handful of fragrant new teas to try. It's a promising set up for a good time, and the best performance of the night gets a comped bar tab and dinner for two on Saturday. Plus, there's an angel girl in a cute frill apron tending bar. How could anyone resist?]

[To him, this is more than enough justification for trying. Not that he wouldn't have tried without it.]
Why does he get girls?
He's as much of a-
[Keigo realizes there is no flattering way to finish this sentence.]
He's not that different from me.
no subject
You're asking the wrong guy, I don't know how girls work.
[Of course he would say that he thinks it's down to Keigo being the world's biggest spaz, but he'd really rather not stir up a tantrum and that's exactly what would happen.]

[He slams his glass down on the table with a force that sends blue...or is it green...liquid sloshing onto his hand.]
I only figured out how my sister works, and even I know duck and cover isn't good advice for trying to get a date.
no subject
Heh, I dunno about that. With a guy like you it could be, given your track record.
no subject
That's not funny. It's not my fault they can't appreciate a little enthusiasm.
no subject
A little enthusiasm.

[He takes a sip of his beer and is completely oblivious that he's getting checked out by a couple of girls a few tables across drinking fancy cocktails.]
no subject
So not fair.
He also notices that their cocktails look a lot more like his drink than Ichigo's. Stupid cute bartender with wings. Liking Yosuke. Giving him girly drinks.
Keigo gives Ichigo a dirty look and starts chugging his drink to drown his sorrows. And to get rid of the crayon-colored evidence.]
no subject
[And then he side eyes the way that Keigo's knocking back that cocktail and alarm bells begin to ring.]
If you get wasted don't expect me to carry your drunk ass home.
no subject
[Don't ask him how he knows.
But that's not the issue right now. The issue is:]
They look at you like that and you don't even care!
no subject
[He frowns and looks at Keigo like he's grown another head.]
Who look at me like what?
no subject
Over there!
no subject
...huh.
no subject
Huh?!
That's all you have to say?
no subject
I'm used to people staring. It's the hair. It doesn't bother me.
no subject
It wasn't that kind of look.
no subject
Your hair's soaking up that blue crap you spilt earlier.
no subject
[He does sit up, though, feels at his hair and makes a face.]
Let's talk about something else.
no subject
[Slides him a paper napkin to try and help him deal with his hair situation.]
How's things?
no subject
[He sounds almost surprised to say it.]
More people disappeared, but they were friends of friends, that kind of thing.
[So it feels less like a personal affront from the Core.]
no subject
[Byakuya leaving again sure feels like a smack in the face. One less dependable ally.]
You'd think they'd try harder to keep us here after all the trouble they must've gone to to drag us to Canada in the first place.
no subject
[More green drink is sloshed on the table in his excitement, but it's rare for Ichigo to go along with his more paranoid thoughts.]
It doesn't matter. It can always get more. However it finds us.
