[OPEN] (Yay for something cheerful)
Who:Anyone and everyone. Barflies, musicians, employees, friends, people looking for a public toilet, whoever!
When:Tonight
Where:The Cat's Eye (Bar & Bistro, hold the gourmet)
Summary:It's Tuesday Night Music Club, guys. Musicians, poets, fire dancers, and all other performers welcome. Make your own threads if you want, threadjack stuff, mix and mingle. This is a party log.
Warnings:That's up to you cats and kittens. Yosuke will be behaving himself, (yes he's done being depressing over dead friends now) but that doesn't mean everyone else has to!
Prose or [action] are both fine!
[The Cat's Eye finally has regular hours, and with the regular hours come special events. Yosuke usually turns the OPEN sign on bright and early on Saturdays, but Tuesdays the hours don't start until after he gets out of class. The sandwich board out front advertises an open mic night, acoustic sets given preference this week. But if a metal band happens to show, they'll still be given a slot.
It's just an experiment, to try and help get the restaurant back in shape again. Wells and drafts are half price, and so are the house wines. Black coffee is free with the purchase of an appetizer or dessert. And there's a handful of fragrant new teas to try. It's a promising set up for a good time, and the best performance of the night gets a comped bar tab and dinner for two on Saturday. Plus, there's an angel girl in a cute frill apron tending bar. How could anyone resist?]

It's usually stuff like changing the beer barrels. Teito used to do it, but uh...
no subject
Teito...? [Not a name he recognizes.]
Nill can show me how to do it, right? [And he maintains a smile, despite his stomach dropping at the prospect of dealing with entire barrels of beer. Gross.]
no subject
Hmm...I think it might be too heavy for her. If something taps out, come find me. I won't be gone too long, anyway.
no subject
I would only need instructions.
You should take all the time you want, Hanamura. You're not even well enough to stand.
no subject
[Oh, crap. Objecting hurts, and he ends up cradling his head in his hands again. Besides, Allen has a point. It wasn't even 5 minutes before standing was too much for him. He probably shouldn't have come to work tonight. Oof.]
Ugh. Alright, if it happens, come tell me and I'll explain. Or maybe I'll show Nill. Er. I mean, she'll know. Ah-sorry. My head. It's not so good tonight. If you have any questions, tell Nill to ask me. She has my direct line.
no subject
[Do you... do you need him to carry you... There aren't any customers right now, he can spare a minute.]
no subject
What? No. I'm fine.
[You can see that pressing on his face really hard keeps his eyeballs from oozing out, dude. Obviously he has the situation in hand.]
no subject
You obviously aren't! You shouldn't remain on the floor like this!
no subject
[He sounds like a petulant kid, and really he pretty much is. But dude this is so humiliating.]
no subject
[He's holding you to that! He will drag you to that break room if he must. It's in bad form to let his boss loll around on the floor in front of their patrons.
But he can turn his attention back to work for a few minutes in the meantime- a customer might need his help or something.]

no subject
...Hanamura?
[Are you doing alright down there.]
no subject
[He might have dozed off a little for a moment there. But after a few seconds of dazed staring, Allen's presence makes something click in Yosuke's mind. Slowly, and still a bit gingerly, he gets to his feet again.]
Right...just gonna...break room.
[Yeah, he seems like he'll survive. He even gives Allen a small smile while he leans against the podium for a moment.]
Come get me if anything...y'know. For things.
no subject
Mm. Come on, you need to rest.
no subject
It's not so bad for the podium to be unoccupied for a minute, but he still would have objected if he was just a little more with it at the moment. Instead, he's just glad that he hired a nice guy to be the host. This would suck way worse if people were being jerks about it.]
Okay...
no subject
He'd ask Yosuke what really happened to him to make him this sick, but the guy just needs to sleep for now. So he'll provide support until they arrive at the break room.]
Here...
no subject
They're probably both pretty grateful to see the break room. Yosuke throws a hand over the light switch so Allen won't get any ideas about turning it on, and gives the guy a grateful smile.]
Thanks. I can handle it from here. It's just the first few steps that were giving me trouble, you know?
