[OPEN] (Yay for something cheerful)
Who:Anyone and everyone. Barflies, musicians, employees, friends, people looking for a public toilet, whoever!
When:Tonight
Where:The Cat's Eye (Bar & Bistro, hold the gourmet)
Summary:It's Tuesday Night Music Club, guys. Musicians, poets, fire dancers, and all other performers welcome. Make your own threads if you want, threadjack stuff, mix and mingle. This is a party log.
Warnings:That's up to you cats and kittens. Yosuke will be behaving himself, (yes he's done being depressing over dead friends now) but that doesn't mean everyone else has to!
Prose or [action] are both fine!
[The Cat's Eye finally has regular hours, and with the regular hours come special events. Yosuke usually turns the OPEN sign on bright and early on Saturdays, but Tuesdays the hours don't start until after he gets out of class. The sandwich board out front advertises an open mic night, acoustic sets given preference this week. But if a metal band happens to show, they'll still be given a slot.
It's just an experiment, to try and help get the restaurant back in shape again. Wells and drafts are half price, and so are the house wines. Black coffee is free with the purchase of an appetizer or dessert. And there's a handful of fragrant new teas to try. It's a promising set up for a good time, and the best performance of the night gets a comped bar tab and dinner for two on Saturday. Plus, there's an angel girl in a cute frill apron tending bar. How could anyone resist?]

Instead of words, he sends her that sunny, chest tightening feeling again. It's a little weaker and queasier than usual, but still every bit as bright and honest. Yeah, he loves her. He's not going to ruin it with words again, but he can't help what he feels, right?]
Me too.

That strange, fuzzy feeling fills her chest again, and for a moment Nill closes her eyes; just taking a moment to let herself enjoy it, as difficult as it was to accept.
...Was that feeling really all that different from how she felt about him? There were a lot of basic things different, and Nill found having anything that made her feel quite like that was so hard these days, but... when she opens her eyes, there's a soft, sincere smile on her face, and after a moment of pause she pushes something similar to that sunny, stomach-turning feeling back at him. She can only manage it for a moment, but it's more than she's been able to do in a very long time.]
I know.
[It means a lot more than she says it does.]

A lump forms in his throat, which he tries to clear away, embarrassed. He closes his eyes, so the tears that are trying to build up there won't be visible. Damn, right in the guts, just when he's least guarded. He takes a shaky breath and nods to show that he heard her. But he doesn't quite trust himself to do anything else. Nill's seen him cry once before, it's true, but there's no way he can cry over this. It's the wrong response, and he's sure he only feels like it because he's so sick and exhausted. And because the feeling is so...do much better actually, than anything he's ever dared to hope for.
The lump in his throat doesn't budge, and he decides to forgo a bit of pride to save face. He tells a little lie, and shakily makes his escape.]
I think the water was a bad idea. Just a minute, okay?

The feeling was different, but it was still love. It was how Yosuke made her feel, more so on the good days than the bad, but sometimes even on the bad ones. She owed him so much, just for that simple feeling... So she wanted him to know it was there, and that she cared. Maybe in a different way than him, but it was enough, wasn't it?
After giving his hand a gentle squeeze, Nill pulls her hands away from his.]
Take as much time as you need.
