A little old tea drinker me.
Who: Iroh and Open
What: Grand opening of the Jasmine Dragon
Where: Sector 4
When: All Day
Warnings: None that I can think of, just post the time when starting a thread.
It was an important day for Iroh. It signified for him a certain accomplishment here within the city. While he would prefer to be back in his own world, he couldn't deny that he was happy with what he had managed. The day was clear, and nice enough that things could be enjoyed outside a bit. It wasn't a perfect day, but it would certainly do.
A small temporary stage was set up, and he had staff moving around and preparing things to his liking. They had of course indoor and outdoor things at this time, though soon enough they would put the outdoor things away for the season. It was the nature of things to be constantly changing, yet it remained the one constant. Things didn't stay the same. The shop was just one example in this strange city. When he arrived he didn't consider a lot of the technology available, but as time went by, he learned more of it, and eventually decided to incorporate it more so into the design of his shop. It was funny how just slightly over a year things could change so drastically, but that had been something he learned in his own world too.
A few of the staff move around before the official opening time, making sure things are set up properly, he had kept a good eye on the tea itself, and it was organized in an efficient manner, which would allow for the best brewing to occur. He was prepared in a nice uniform similar to the one the servers wore, only slightly more extravagent. A subtle touch, nothing which made him seem like a peacock, but some nice embroidery of a dragon on the sleeves. It should be a most interesting day indeed.

True, it may be odd, but by the grin, Chessur doesn't seem to mind. Of course, he's always grinning, but either way he is present and (relatively) early and surely one can hardly ask more of a cat. Even a cat who seems to be so inclined to turn his hand (paw?) to a moment of honest work.

It was a good day today, he had worked hard to reach to this point, and now everything was set up as he liked. While he would enjoy having some of his friends around, it was not as though the Avatar and the Fire Lord had lots of free time to spend, especially after needing to rebuild and restructure much of the world. It was the way of things, the young had things to do, goals to accomplish, to change the world.
"Would you care to join me for a cup of tea?" It would be a nice Jasmine tea, calming and soothing, he had plenty of energy from the excitement of establishing his new business.

It wasn't the same as tea with Hatter, but nothing could truly match the Hatter's table short of the Hatter himself arriving, and really it was better that only one person go missing at a time. Better a Cat than anyone else, for a Cat was never really around when you wanted him and so would be somewhat harder to miss. Besides, he'd found that the oddness of the place was enjoyable, if occasionally entirely too mundane. Why, then, should he not happen to make the most of it.

He made his way over to the tea pots, and selected a simple one, selecting some Jasmine to place in, giving it a good sniff before putting it in. After heating it at the right temperature he pours a delicate cup first for Chessur, then for himself. He raises his tea cup.
"To a successful first day!"

Clearly, it wasn't by the quality of the tea, for all that Chessur hadn't any complaints about that, as he raised his own cup to match Iroh's. Regardless of how things were supposed to be, he wasn't about to complain about anything involved. Not when there was tea to be had, and curiosity to be answered.

"Mmmmm. A good amount of customers who all enjoy themselves, and spread the word, is usually a good measure."
