Who: Allen Walker and YOU
When: October 2nd - 6th, at night.
Where: Anywhere your heart desires.
Summary: Allen spends more time than he frankly should out in the Darkness, fightin' monsters. Care to join him?
Warnings: VIOLENCE, blood, excellent life choices. Also shounen.
[After the evening siren rings, Allen heads out of his apartment to spend a few good hours slaying monsters around the city, like he does almost every night.
Sure, he had a bad run-in with one back in August, but it'll take a lot more than that to deter him. In fact, it's only motivated him to fight harder against them, because he needs to work to become stronger. And it's much easier if he goes out alone to do so. There are no flaws in his plan.
So if (for whatever reason) you're out at night as well, you may come across this guy, wielding a giant blade that looks like this with one arm (because his other one is missing) and wearing a billowing, oversized fur-lined white cape. Not terribly difficult to recognize, if you've seen him before. He's looking for something to fight or someone to rescue, and he may stop to see how things are going for you.]

The idea of a demon familiar is a bit alarming to Allen, but it's clear that Yukio's demons are quite different. Perhaps it's a less unsettling concept in his world.]
Tim's nothing like an Ak— demon. Golems are communication devices... sort of like telephones? [Or video cameras, if he knew the word for it.]
Exorcists in my world haven't got familiars.
no subject
Ah, like a cellphone? I see. Having something like that that can move on its own would be pretty handy. [ Though he does have to wonder what makes Tim tick, because that mouth doesn't seem very mechanical. ]
Generally only the exorcists who are Tamers do in mine, but there are exceptions.
no subject
...You don't have one, do you? A demon?
no subject
[ He shakes his head at the question before holstering one gun and taking out his phone. ]
No, but my brother does. A Cat Sith. [ He turns the phone to Allen, a picture of Kuro on the display. ]
no subject
Is your brother in the city?
no subject
And no, he was here the last time I was here also, but not anymore. [ He averts his eyes momentarily. It's unsettling, they had never been apart for long but now it was shaping up to be the longest time he'd ever been without Rin. ]

But, regarding that first part—] I think they must be.
In, ah, my world, the 'demons' are known as Akuma... They're machines created to kill humans. [And they're not something he's unaccustomed to explaining, but it has been a while.]
no subject
Allen's statement effectively snatches his thoughts away from that though. He looks obviously surprised. ]
Machines?
no subject
But he keeps it simple;]
Mm, but not like anything in this world.
They're pitiful weapons, borne out of despair. Each Akuma is a machine, powered by a deceased human soul and forced to fight and kill humans against its own will. It can't stop itself, until it's saved by an Exorcist.
no subject
He frowns. ]
I see. How terrible. They're certainly nothing like our demons.
[ And he has to wonder... ] How do human souls end up in a machine?

When somebody is grieving the loss of a loved one, it attracts the attention of the Akuma's creator. He visits them, and offers to bring their loved one back from the dead, and all they have to do is call the deceased's name— but it's a trap.
The soul is bound to a mechanical body, and is forced to kill and wear the skin of the person who had mourned them.
That's how a Level One is made. The more the Akuma kills, the more corrupted the soul becomes, and the stronger the Akuma grows.

He knows of plenty of terrible and cruel things demons are capable of, but this? This had to be one the cruelest things he's ever heard of. ]
I'm very sorry. [ Honestly, he's kind of at a loss of words. But he's saying sorry because: ]
It can't be easy to have to deal with that.
no subject
I only want to bring an end to their suffering, and others'.
[Though that does raise the question;]
What are the demons in your world like?
[They can't all be adorable house cats. He assumes.
As he talks though, he is keeping one eye on their surroundings, occasionally glancing behind Yukio and himself. He doesn't mind stopping to chat, but he knows letting his guard down would be a pretty stupid thing to do. Tim, too, circles around overhead, watching.]

Although he appears pretty relaxed and his attention focused on Allen, he's on high alert as well. He's a good multi-tasker, he's held conversations while simultaneously shooting things in the face before, he can do it again. ]
They're more like the kind of creatures you would find in folklore and religious texts. They come from the Demon World that's ruled by Satan, Gehenna, to our world, Assiah.
There are a lot of different kinds of demons, some more dangerous than others. They're similar to the creatures here, really. But they're also capable of possessing people.
