[After Sirens]
Who: Dorian and Phibrizzo
When: October 14th, just after Sirens
Where: The Streets
Summary: Dorian Gray has been couch surfing for weeks. He's looking for new clients to tutor, to make enough money to set himself up again, in a place he can feel safe, and know that the darkness proofing is safe. And, he took him a little longer to get home than he expected. Sirens! Oh No!
Warnings: Monster Attacks and Anger
The ride took longer than expected, and the walk further than he'd anticipated. He knew he should have started sooner.
When the sirens starts he breaks into a run. Surely it will take some time for the decay to start, right?
Yet he passes an alley, and he hears the growl and the run becomes a sprint, but it isn't quite fast enough...

When he spotted Dorian, he had to rein in the smirk that threatened to cross his tiny features. Oh, how perfect.
"Oh, it's Mister Dorian," he remarked, not looking particularly concerned by the fact that he was out after sirens as Dorian sprinted in his direction.
"What's the rush?"

[Phibrizzo looks much calmer than a child really should when the Darkness monster shows itself.
He points at it as if it was a larger than average spider rather than a menacing creature bent on destruction.]
Oh, is that what you're so scared of?

He screams.]

He's even surprised when Dorian tries to protect him. Well, that was unexpectedly noble of him. He supposes he should probably prevent Dorian from being hurt any worse than this. And what better way than to use the magic Dorian denies exists?]
Oh, source of all power,
light which burns beyond crimson,
let thy power gather in my hand.
Fireball!
[As soon as the incantation is finished, a ball of fire soars at the Darkness monster, destroying it and leaving cinder marks on the pavement.]
Thank you for trying to protect me, Mister Dorian, but you really didn't need to.

As the monster lays dead, Dorian stairs stunned, for a moment, then looks down at his leg. It's bleeding and his pants are ruined, but the injury doesn't look dangerous.]
W-what...
no subject
[He pauses and glances up at Dorian.]
See? I told you I wasn't pretending to be a sorceror.

[He's still quite calm about all of this.]
Sorry, but I'm no good at healing magic. So you'll have to see a doctor for your leg.
no subject
Where in the world did you learn to do THAT? And couldn't you have done it a little sooner?
no subject
[Now he's quite entertained at Dorian's expense, but he'll keep his expression neutral for the time being.
Especially when another Darkness monster shows up.]

with FIRE...

[He's not offering to help until he hears a formal apology and a declaration that magic exists. But he'll at least feign concern.]
no subject
That... thing you did... do it again!
no subject
[It's unkind, but not as cruel as just leaving him to his fate. If he can humble the man and take in a little extra negative emotion, so much the better for him.]
Better hurry up with it, Mister Dorian.

[Fortunately for Dorian, this Darkness monster isn't a quick moving one, because Phibrizzo's arms are crossed and he's sporting a petulant little pout on his face.]
Apologize and I'll hit the monster with a spell.
no subject
Ah! All right, all right... Magic is real. I was wrong....
no subject
[Yup, he's going to push his luck. It helps that he is the one capable of destroying the monsters while Dorian is not.]

That's better. Elmekia Lance!
[A long beam of white light shoots out toward the monster. When it makes a direct hit, the monster disappates into nothing.]

[Yes, he's being a little brat about this, but it's not as bad as just leaving Dorian behind.]
And you have to be really quiet so I can concentrate.
no subject
My trousers are ruined and I am bleeding. It's the last you can do.
no subject
[He's having a lot more fun with this than his expression lets on.]
If you don't want to be polite, pay me to protect you. Otherwise, you have to say please.
no subject
FINE!
Please!
[Complete with Icon bitch!face.]

Okay. Where are you staying? If I'm going to use a teleporting spell, I need to know exactly. Otherwise, we could wind up in someone's bathroom or something weird like that, so it'd be better to fly or for me to teleport to the Uzushio.
[At least now he's scaling the torment back to just planting discomforting ideas of what could happen if the magic went wrong.]
