Summary: Enjolras thinks Jack is out to help him. He wrong. Oh niave revolutionary... Enjolras is handed over to AGI
Warnings: Capture/Enslavement and the normal reaction to that.


Enjolras made the walk before sirens, for safety sake. He sits, drinking coffee, waiting until 10:00

He watches for someone checking a pocket watch.

[jack sidesteps him easily, and he lets the other man bolt- it won't do him much good, because there are more of those chains following him, and Jack himself, a glass-red scythe materializing in his hands, glinting and deadly. ]

Running won't do you any good, you know!

[He avoids the first chain as it flies past. He ducks to avoid the second, and looses his balance, falling again. He manages to swing himself onto his back, looking up at Jack.

When he sees the scythe, he things he understand. Believing himself about to die, he simply closes his eyes.

He'd never convinced himself he wasn't dead, and this wasn't hell or purgatory or some such place anyway.]

[psychopath]

[jack has to take him in alive,of course. He sends the chains to wind around his wrists instead, holding the sharp edge of the scythe against Enjolras' neck.]

Oh no, the mercy of death is a mercy earned. Perhaps you would like to feel closer to your cause...?

[Enjolras takes the meaning, and begins to struggle, not particularly mindful of the scythe at his neck.]

I-I've accepted no loans or owe no debt. Kill me if you will... but...

[psychopath]

Now you have.

[chains around his feet, then, binding them together up to his knees.]

Killing you would be left to your masters, yes?

[antinouswild]

So you're going to give me to AGI as a slave for simply speaking?

Then you only prove that I was right. There will be others, and you can't take them all.

LET ME GO!

[And Enjolras' power kicks in. He's not aware of it, but it's there. Whether Jack is effected by it or not remains to be seen, but he may be able to feel it there.]

[psychopath]

[jack flinches for a moment, lifting a hand as if to shield himself, and he touches a hand to his helmet. he feels it, somewhat, but he is not of the belief that slavery is wrong.

thus:]

Be glad it is AGI; SERO would love to get their hands on that lovely voice of yours, lad.

[And he punctuates it with a kick to Enjolras' side.]

[Enjolras grunts at the kick. He doesn't know of his power, therefore he doesn't understand the reference. But, he's wise enough to use it.]

If my voice could be used by your rivals then you'd better hurry up and kill me then.

[psychopath]

Of course I won't.

[he crouches beside enjolras, helmet tilting to the side.]

You merely need to be taught a lesson or two. As with those who collaborated with you, of course. It is their freedom you have gambled with, Enjolras.

[That seems to stress Enjolras even more.]

A few people expressed sympathy for those enslaved. Most just called me a fool. I'm alone. It's the truth!

[The power is still there, for Jack to take as he will.]

[it works, this time, and jack falls silent, weighing his options.]

Better to nip it in the bud, right? Perhaps this would make you think twice about the consequences of your actions.

[and then he lifts enjolras up by his collar and gives him a swift hit to his neck, intended to knock him out.]

[Enjorlas struggles madly as he's lifted, even though he can't loose the bonds. Still, he's valiant, fighting and cursing until the blow takes him.

Then, he goes out neatly, falling limp.]
