Don't make me turn this car around
Who: Xerxes Break, Oz Vessalius, Reim Lunettes, and eventually Gilbert Nightray
When: October 17th, 5 AM
Where: Phancyhive, and then enroute to Funtom
Summary: After Gilbert Nightray is attacked by Xigbar's creature, the seals on Oz's and Break's Chains come undone. And every rescue mission needs a getaway car.
Warnings: Back seat driving
The most important thing, Break tells himself, as he hurriedly pulls on his boots, is to check on Oz, particularly after what had happened two days ago. Has the seal on his incuse advanced, is he all right? The second thing is (now drawing on his coat, and snatching up his cane) --
Break's plan is to speak to Oz and then head out by himself, into the Darkness. This is his plan, it's his usual plan, it's the sort of plan he's been making for years…
Which… is… actually enough to make Break hesitate, even as he is sweeping down the hallway towards Oz's room. Gilbert is in danger, that much is clear; he's crippled, from bearing the burden of two seals. If Break does things his own way, he might find Gilbert too late - and bring too little, besides. Anything strong enough to hurt Gilbert might be too much for him, even with Hatter.
He stops. It goes against every instinct; but there's no better alternative, none he can fathom. He makes a fist and… is he really going to do this? Is he really going to knock on Reim's bedroom door?
No.
He's not going to knock. He's going to throw his shoulder against the door and force it open, damn everything. He can't do this alone.
"Reim! Reim! Get up! Wake up right now!"

Although. Here are one Break and one Oz, missing a Gilbert. He can make an educated guess who the mystery problem is.
There is certainly not enough time for any quiet worried looks, he thinks, and why is Break still just standing there? They probably don't have time for dramatics either, and Oz is more than capable of getting into a car without supervision-! He leans across the passenger seat and pushes the door open himself (as much as he would rather not, admittedly, let Break sit in front).
"Get in the car."

He'd like very much not to be left behind because he fell through a window, thanks!
However, he did have one concern.
"Is this car darkness proof?" because if not, oh dear. they were going to definitely be in for a bumpy ride.

Right. Thank you Oz for that little question, that's certain to put Reim's excitable mind at ease. How he'd love to just shove Reim out of the driver's seat and take over.
However. This isn't a tank. He can't just roll over anything in his way. Not bothering with his seat belt, he leans over, draping one arm about Reim's shoulders, and placing his other hand on the steering wheel. This is helping, this is support, this will strengthen Reim's faint heart. Yes, of course. Of course it will.
"Go to Funtom, that's where Gilbert was headed, most likely. Go now!"
