[ A year and several months, not including the time spent in the world he calls his home. Though it is no great span of time for one who exists outside of it, he feels the days have been long, even for one such as himself.

Despite this, he finds he is content. There is something to be said for the work that he does. Whether is be an encouraging word by day, or a beacon by night, it is in the little things that he finds the most joy and happiness.

A true smile from one who was lost has ever been enough to warm his heart with the heat of a thousand suns. ]

[ Aurican is starting to take some changes to his original plan. He is starting to actually stroll out in his dragon form in less populated areas, to leave witnesses that yes, there is a dragon, and no, he will not hurt anyone.

These natives are used to many things, but a dragon isn't one of them. He will help their uneasiness.

So he takes a stroll on the beach, leaving beind massive footprints that will wash away by the chilly waves cresting gently on the pale shore. He is enjoying the view of the sky when he spots something familiar, and yet not familiar. ]

[ He has spent many a long hour by the shores of the slate-gray sea. Out of nostalgia, or perhaps a subtle longing, but mostly, it is for the sound of it, the steady beating of waters upon the shore.

Today, he lets the waves lap at his paws, the chill dissipating (if only for a moment) as they touch.

When the other approaches, he tilts his head, considering the other with solemn, golden eyes. ]

[ Aurican encounter a similar presence - presences, actually, in plural. It is almost like they are similar. ]

[ His presence is one that speaks of light and life, and all that is good, an ideal that he strives to set for others to see and follow.

He smiles at the greeting. ]

[ And many others, though not always with the same alacrity. The Port does not always tell him her secrets. ]

I fare well. And yourself?

Very well. I fully intend for prove myself as a creature of peace to the natives. Difficult to sway the natives here, unfortunately, but I am unsurprised. Even the lesser beings from home had difficulty to overcome their fear of dragons.

[ But hey, if the elves and the humans manage, anyone can! They can do it! ]
