Halloween doesn't just belong to the young and young-at-heart. Candy isn't hard to come by. So why not spend some time partying it up?

Thanks to a mistake and Network spam sent via Julian, Xino E. Mao has been dressed up for precisely that line of thinking. Thanks to Xigbar's quick fixes (i.e. connections and a few spells for the occasion), the rooms reserved for special events have been opened up for the masquerade. Yes, masquerade. All are expected to dress in costumes that aren't corny.

The lighting is dim, overlaying fitting decorations which fulfill the eerie ambiance necessary for such a Hallowed Night. These are far from cheesy store-bought decorations, of course. It's stylish and...alive. Why yes, those are Heartless Shadows creeping along the walls.

Don't get too caught up staring at the details – the details will stare back at you.

[jack's wearing a blood-red cloak himself, over a white frock coat and trousers, fastened at his throat with a gold falcon.

he might be impeccably dressed but!! his hood falls off his head, blond hair spilling over his shoulder, as he reaches up to pat one of the shadows that aren't-- really supposed to be there.

He huffs.]

Did you see that! [eyes wide;] The shadows moved--!

Hm. I won't be very surprised if they did. I've learned to expect the unexpected here in the Port. But no, I haven't noticed it yet.

[psychopath]

[Jack sweeps over to him, touching his shoulder and actually pointing at the walls, where curtains end and ceiling start to begin.]

It's actually very good, these Halloween decorations, really spooky.

[recitings]

[Hm. This man is pretty touchy-feely.

Anyway, he'll stare at the decor. After a moment, he believes he sees beady yellow eyes. Urk.]

... they are good decorations.

Oh...that's odd, they almost look like they have...eyes, what--

[jack taps his chin thoughtfully, before turning back to him.]

This company really did go all out.

[recitings]

I can absolutely agree with that. [He chuckles.]

Are you an employee of the sponsoring corporation?

[He asks, curiously.]

Hm? Me? Not at all. I was just invited. I'm a model, working for a neutral agency. [He extends a hand for a shake.]

And you?

[psychopath]

Oh...a model? [jack stares at him, head tilting slowly to the side, before reaching out to shake the offered hand. well, he does...have the looks for one?

Jack smiles wryly when asked about his employment.]

Ah, no, no, I was just invited as well. That Xemnas character sent out quite the number of invites, apparently.
