One Night Only
Who: OPEN TO EVERYONE because of Julian
When: October 30th, 2012
Where: The Xino E. Mao Corp building
Summary: MASQUERAAADE: A costume party of the swanky kind! Yay!
Warnings: None...?
Notes: Forward-dating so there's more time to tag in. Action and prose are both okay! ALSO: tag yourself in on the log!
= = = = =
Halloween doesn't just belong to the young and young-at-heart. Candy isn't hard to come by. So why not spend some time partying it up?
Thanks to a mistake and Network spam sent via Julian, Xino E. Mao has been dressed up for precisely that line of thinking. Thanks to Xigbar's quick fixes (i.e. connections and a few spells for the occasion), the rooms reserved for special events have been opened up for the masquerade. Yes, masquerade. All are expected to dress in costumes that aren't corny.
The lighting is dim, overlaying fitting decorations which fulfill the eerie ambiance necessary for such a Hallowed Night. These are far from cheesy store-bought decorations, of course. It's stylish and...alive. Why yes, those are Heartless Shadows creeping along the walls.
Don't get too caught up staring at the details – the details will stare back at you.
To all who enter here: enjoy.

Dani has her eyes on the decorations for the most part, though her eyes keep flitting to the dance floor when songs start up. She holds off, more focused on her duty to find the man responsible for her troubles several nights prior.
When she turns, she notices the wolf (and looking at her?), a brief frown crossing her features. The Angelus hardly reacts beyond a recognition of magic, but nothing seems to bother her. There is Light there too, strong, and it's enough to satisfy her.
But Dani gives the wolfman a look, briefly tilting her head as if to scrutinize him right back.]

The amount of Light is impressive, especially for someone not from his world. If there happens to be two beings rather than one, their Light blends enough that, at this moment, Eraqus is not aware of a seperate presence.
Taking that head tilt as a sign to approach, the Werewolf'd Master strides forwards with surprising grace considering his size. Once close, the rather fierce looking head dips in a bow of sorts; no sweeping hand gestures, but ears flick back and eyes close a moment.]
My apologies. It was not my intent to be rude, but something about you seemed...familiar.
[The voice is deeper, a touchy more gravelly, but is otherwise recognisable as belonging to a gentleman she'd spoken with via NV several days ago.]

You weren't being rude, don't worry.
[Yes, familiar. She realizes exactly who he is and slowly smiles.]
You're the one I spoke to the other day over the network.

[A second dip of his head; Eraqus does not go into a fuller bow, though he certainly gives the impression that he would not be uncomfortable with such formality. He relaxes a little as he straightens up, tail briefly wagging before manners reassert themselves. He won't miss that when it's gone, that's for certain.]
I am indeed. I see we are both somewhat recovered from recent events?
[With the darkness relaxed for the night, and so much of it already clogging much of the room thanks to the Heartless (grrrrr), anything troubling her is not as easily discernable as it might otherwise be..]
no subject
[She feels a little taken aback by the formality; she hasn't yet become accustomed to the hordes of Angelus warriors back home who stop and bow to her or call her 'Mistress'. It's just too much for a simple girl from New Orleans and New York. The tail, though, gets a smile from her.]
It looks like it. No more bruises?
[None for her save the one across her heart, though she has yet to realize the true extent of its implication.]
You got the invite from the little machine too, huh.

Some lingering stiffness, perhaps, but nothing unbearable. [And a few more scars to add to his collection.]
Yes. It was a surprisingly..artistic endeavour, for a sprite. [..Don't ask.] I am somewhat more acquainted with a different one, but he certainly showed more personality than I expected.
[A glance is sent Xemnas-ward across the room, to where the tiny hat may well be bobbing in the Nobody's wake.]
I don't believe we were properly introduced. [Their last conversation had a rather specific focus, after all.] I am Eraqus.
no subject
Dani isn't sure what to ask first, but her gaze trails after his to search for the man he's speaking of. She catches a glimpse of Xemnas but nothing more and it's impossible to know if Eraqus meant him. She turns back to face him.]
What do you mean by 'more personality'?
[She gives him a smile and a dip of her head, tipping her hat slightly.]
I'm Dani. It's nice to meet you, Eraqus.

[Riku, no doubt, could vouch for the extensiveness of the bleeding, if nothing else. Rover was definitely made for pain.
One would think silver hair would stand out, but in this crowd.. Oh well. No doubt Dani would have the opportunity for an introduction to Xemnas in time. Though it was a busy party..]
I do not know of any other sprites with artistic inclinations. [...Admittedly, he only knows 2. But, detaaaails. Then, a pause.] They are called 'ay-i' here, I believe? I'm afraid I am not completely caught up on the terms used on this world.
And I, you. It is good to meet similarly Light-hearted people. [Which sounds utterly innocuous to the viewers at home. He's sincere enough about that, whatever the case. Muzzle tilts, one ear flicking out briefly to the side.] Have you been here at the Port long?
