Halloween doesn't just belong to the young and young-at-heart. Candy isn't hard to come by. So why not spend some time partying it up?

Thanks to a mistake and Network spam sent via Julian, Xino E. Mao has been dressed up for precisely that line of thinking. Thanks to Xigbar's quick fixes (i.e. connections and a few spells for the occasion), the rooms reserved for special events have been opened up for the masquerade. Yes, masquerade. All are expected to dress in costumes that aren't corny.

The lighting is dim, overlaying fitting decorations which fulfill the eerie ambiance necessary for such a Hallowed Night. These are far from cheesy store-bought decorations, of course. It's stylish and...alive. Why yes, those are Heartless Shadows creeping along the walls.

Don't get too caught up staring at the details – the details will stare back at you.

[It's certainly interesting. He's a lot more calculating than he lets on, but Nill has known many people like that in the past. She doesn't think too much on it, now that she's listening. She'll just be careful.

Nill lifts her head though, looking up where he's gestured. ...She's not sure special effects work like that, Jack. She gives him a slightly unsure look, but otherwise doesn't try to tell him anything. She does reach out though, and give the curtains a little tug, just to see how well they're hung, or if maybe the shadows are actually keeping them up. ...she thinks it's probably a little of both.]

[above the curtains, the shadows roil, and beetle-yellow eyes flicker in the mass. jack takes a step back, eyebrows raised.]

All...right, I don't think that's a good idea, milady.

[reassures]

[Ahh. Nill is fairly certain she recognizes those eyes. She peers up at them briefly, before turning her attention on Jack again. She smiles, as if he's being silly, but lets go of the curtains.

It's all about acting as if she doesn't know a thing. Sometimes it's better not to be taken seriously. Nill takes a step back as well, and holds her hands behind her back. If it'll make him feel better, she won't try it again.]
