Summary: Two coworkers decide to hang out.
Warnings: Jake curses sometimes, but probably not much else.

It had been a good days training, and Jake really felt he'd gotten something out of it! Then again, whenever Jake actually did training of any sort he felt that way, whether it was actually true or not was another matter entirely. He figured a positive attitude and enough hard work and he'd keep improving at whatever it was he decided to put his energy towards. It just so happened that whenever he bothered to put time and energy into anything it was almost always a purely physical sort of activity. A good adventurer needed sharp wits, it was true, but if he didn't have a strong set of calves to carry him right out of harms way then all the snappy comebacks in the world wouldn't do him a damn bit of good!

The whole point here being he felt pretty good about everything that happened, and was still brimming with energy. He needed something else to do, anything else really. So without putting much thought into whether or not he would be inconveniencing other people he jogged over to Ahiru who'd been there training with him tonight.

"Ahiru! Good job today!"

A good team always needed a guy or gal who could patch people up when they were in a jam. The job of a healer and/or medic was just as important as a guy that came in with guns blazing on a team of their size. Besides with the monsters running all over the place and the majority of the crew being new to that sort of behavior meant that Ahiru must be a very busy lady most of the time.

He hoped that didn't mean she'd be busy to spare a little time now, however. He hadn't had a lot to do lately outside of his various jobs and duties, and a little time hanging out with a friend he made here might be nice. He did have to stop and think on her question. That would be his normal course of action of course, but he looked less than excited about that prospect. "If I can't find anything else to do... Say, are you up to anything at the moment?"

[motioned]

She blinks at the question, tilting her head thoughtfully as she looks at him.

"I don't think so!"

Come to think of it, she hadn't really done anything with him outside of the group since the party with Nill. Things had been busy lately, not that she really minded - better that then not have enough to do. Still, she's fairly certain she didn't have any plans for later in the day. Maybe this would be a good opportunity.

"Do you want to do something?"

Yes, things seemed to be busy for everyone lately. Jake honestly didn't know what to do with himself half the time with all the hustle and bustle that seemed to be going on in everyone else's lives. He really had to step up his own game if he wanted to stop looking like such a bum.

The nice thing here though was that Ahiru was making things a lot easier for him, offering up an opening like that so he didn't have to fish for one himself.

"Absolutely! Not that I have anything particular in mind, of course, but I'm always up for whatever anyone else might have planned, or unplanned but wanting to do."
