Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY
Who:
ella_of_frell and
blondandperfect
When: November 19th, 12pm
Where: Newcomer Apartments
Summary: Hattie ends up at the right place at the right time, Ella at the wrong.
Warnings: 25 percent chance of the situation 'getting real'.
The Newcomer Apartments. Hattie never ever thought she'd end up here again, but here she was. She had arrived to put up some flyers on the the bulletin board advertising her dressmaking services. Normally she'd never even entertain the idea, but since she recalled meeting Pegasus Crawford here (and she really missed that man), maybe someone else like him would show up as well and take interest? That's a risk she's willing to take!
She suddenly remembered something once the flyers were placed: Keigo lived here, didn't he?
When was the last time she gave that boy a hard time? Well, deciding a surprise visit was in order, the posh blonde took the elevator to the eigth floor instead of the seventh, then realized she couldn't remember which apartment it was. Was it 804? Or was it 806?
".. Ah. Hmn."

Get out :I
Padding over to the door, Kyra sniffed at the crack under the door, growling louder. She knows that stench! She doesn't like you, Hattie. Not one bit.
Gosh, I'm not even in yet!!!!
That said, she walked past the door, knocking on the vacant room first because, why not. After having no success is when she approaches Ella's door, and tries knocking on that instead.
Just seconds after, her NV buzzed and as she reached into her bag to take it out, she dropped all of her flyers, "Oh for the love..." she placed the compact into her mouth (because that's sanitary!) then knelt to scramble and pick the papers up.
And you never will be if she can help it! :D
"Kyra, come away from there." Ella murmurs at the knock on her door. Only when the wolf doesn't move away, Ella reaches down to gently pull the growling animal away from the door. "Stop that."
She pulls the door open, at first not recognizing Hattie since all she sees is the ringlets of wavy hair. "Fliers? Do you need some help picking that up?" Ella starts to kneel down to gather some of the papers, while Kyra stands behind her, stiff legged and growling, her ears slowly flattening against her head.
You and me, Blondie. You and me. o O ( ^=.=^ )
*practices her door kicking kick*
Hattie seems oblivious to the growling at first, thinking it's someone's messed up heating system. Poor fools here and all their broken equipment. Once the door opens, the blonde doesn't immedietly look up, finding herself nearly face to face with Kyra and despite looking different, she's far far too familiar.
She lets out an ear piercing shriek, practically throwing herself back to the other side of the hall so her back slams against it, "BACK! BACK! STAY AWAY!" KILL IT! she demands, pointing her well groomed fingernail at Kyra while looking up at..
At...
".. ELLA??"
*practices her Door Slamming Slam*
"Cut it out, Kyra - what's gotten into you! It's only-" she looks at the blonde woman when she starts freaking out. Brown eyes widen, as she has the same reaction that her elder stepsister has.
".. HATTIE??"
Well CRAP. Ella wastes no time.
She immediately slams the door in Hattie's face.
BAM.
*obtains quick draw hint!* *learned Door Slamming Slam!*
First, Hattie swallows hard, just to make certain her heart doesn't leap out from her throat. Once that's done, she lets it all sink in. She should be upset that Ella didn't let her know she was back but no, no this was great. She was happy!
"Wait! Ella! Ella, wait!!" she scrambles on all fours and starts banging on the door again, "You're back! You're finally back, and you actually remember who I am! Why didn't you call me?? Ella!!"
Open the door, baby, she can change!
"Ellaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Bam bam bam bam!
I'll Quick Draw Hint YOU
She was already backing away from the door like a cornered animal, glancing towards the window and wondering if climbing down a fire escape wouldn't be a bad idea.
She had no idea what Hattie meant by that, but she was seriously wishing she had considered pretending she didn't recognize Hattie after all. Damn.
There's a wary, "Go away, Hattie!" from the other side of the door in response instead.
*would retort but cracks up at icon*
"E- Ella, come now.." she grits her teeth, "That is no way to talk to your darling stepsister, is it? Ever since you left, our business hasn't been the same. Especially since someone sold off all the dresses to the wrong people.."
Knock knock.
"But I forgive you. Let's go home and take care of it, all right? Pretty please?"
XD Ella: 1 / Hattie: 0
If she didn't know what an unrepentant creep you were, Hattie, she'd almost believe you were sincere. There is a long silence from Ella's side of the door.
"No, I don't think so, but thanks for stopping by." You can leave now. And don't come back. Eveeeeeeeeeeeeeer.
no subject
You're messing up, Ella, you're starting to get on Hattie's nerves! The blonde's getting angry, annoyed, frustrated, and not feeling very nice!
"But Ella," she says, unable to hide the edge of annoyance in her voice, "What about your old room? All of your things are still in it, I think, and I don't have the key to unlock it."
Hattie's a lean, mean, lying machine!
"You should at least stop by to pick them all up if you're going to stay in this dingier, uglier, tinier place, don't you think?"
no subject
Aaah, there's the stepsister she knows and detests. "Your concern is touching. Really." Only not. "I'm sure I'll stop by another time to do that." Like when you're not around. And she certainly wouldn't trust your little servant to bring her belongings, assuming you didn't sell everything off
like she had when you went back home.no subject
1) She remembered who Hattie is and 2) She doesn't seem to want to help Hattie with the business anymore. Perhaps some of the commands had vanished when Ella did? She needed more information!
"Yes," she confirms, "And so what if you don't have your keys, have your grumpy boyfriend break the door down, he'll do whatever you say!" and now she's really starting to get impatient. "I don't want to wait I want you to do it now!" .... "Please."
no subject
She really dun like you Hats.
"Grumpy boyfriend? Dorian is neither my boyfriend, nor grumpy. You're really bad at judging personalities, aren't you." And she pauses, because that statement was dangerously close to an actual command - but she's not going to ask to clarify it into one. "Too bad, I'm not interested in what you want."
no subject
The blonde lets out a yelp of surprise when the door splinters, the blonde taking a jump back in surprise, and she immedietly remembers how large that beast was. It's clearly even more dangerous than before! Oooh, if Kyra wasn't there.. If she wasn't there, she'd tear you a new one, Ella!
"I'm not talking about Dor-" ... "Wait, wha-" ... "Ella, do something about your damned beast! NOW!"
Famous last words?
no subject
"Better yet, why don't you leave if you're so worried?"
no subject
Talk about your one-eighties!
"And I will leave when I am done talking, Ella!" There's a long moment of silence, and the she says with shifty eyes, "First of all, I was actually talking about Toushirou! And secondly! .. Um!"
Come to think of it, why did Ella think it was Dorian instead of Toushirou? This was getting a bit strange.. This was getting a bit dangerous.
... This was getting a bit strangerous.
no subject
"Toushirou? You mean Hitsugaya?" Why do you call him by his last name, Hattie, that's so weird. "Why would you be talking about him?" She can't see your face Hattie or you hers, but she is giving you the weirdest look ever.
"He's not grumpy - and he's just a friend besides, not that it's any of your business."
no subject
That said, Hattie is thrown for such a loop that she just stands there, staring at the door. Stunned. She was starting to suspect that there were a lot of puzzle pieces missing from Ella's memory and... And if she could figure out juuust the right buttons to press. Maybe, just maybe she could get something really good out of this.
"O- Oh, yes.. Um, you're right, Ella. I suppose I was just so upset about how things are now, that I just wasn't, you know, thinking straight." ... "I mean, one moment, we're working in a family business together, and then the next you don't want to have anything to do with me~. I suppose it hurt a little. And you know how I act when I get hurt.."
Okay Phelan. . . :D
"You're lying." Ella has no problem stating this fact, "If you think for a second I would willingly want to work in a family business with you."
You're up to something Hattie, she just doesn't know what it is. "If you're running a business, you can pay your employees." Like Eponine.
Re: Okay Phelan. . . :D
The mention of employees catches her off-guard. As far as she knew, no one else knew she had hired Garry. First thing's first, however, "I don't need to think it, it did happen. Then I left the port for a while, and when I returned everything went to hell. It probably wasn't your fault; someone probably told you to do it."
"I'm pretty certain if I don't pay my employees, I'd end up in jail, Ella. What a thing to say."
no subject
"And I know I would never willingly work for you." Ella stands by this. So obviously, if she had ever cooperated with Hattie that way, it was because Hattie took advantage of her curse.
"Yeah, funny how you're still free." She doesn't mention Eponine by name, not wanting to get the girl in trouble. BUT SHE IS ON TO YOU.
no subject
"You have no idea how much it hurts me to hear that, Ella." Hattie replies, hand to her mouth to hide the slightest of smiles. "Some of your friends.. They could be quite 'persuasive', you know. They didn't like me either. So while it is true we're not nearly the best of friends, I don't think I could have gotten away with forcing you to work for me."
Mmmn, smell that delicious pants fire.
"Did.. You just joke about me going to jail?"
no subject
"Spare me your fake innocence, would you? There is no way you're ever going to convince me that I would be willingly working for someone like you." You irredeemable shrew. She may not know the entire situation, but she knew that much. And knowing Ella, she wouldn't have been able to go for help because they would ask /why/ she worked for Hattie in the first place - and Ella would be unable to say because of her stupid curse.
"I wasn't joking." She would happily send you to jail if she caught on that you were doing anything that wasn't by the books.
no subject
Hattie lets that carrot dangle for a moment.
"Fine, well I'm going back home, then, and let you think about it; if I'm lucky it will come back to you later. And if you want to talk, you know how to get in touch with me." ... "Or you could let me inside?"
1/2 You know this is coming. >:3
... don't take the carrot, Ella, it is full of poison.
"Sure Hattie." No Ella! The Carrot is full of evil! "Let me just... open the door."
... ... And the doorknob turns.
Slowly.
The door swings open.
And ...
2/2 SURPRISE
YOU PROMISED TO SPARE MY LIFE 1/2
2/3 YOU PROMIIIIIIISED
Hattie flips right the hell out, the pamphlets in her hands thrown into the air, turns around, and runs as fast as she possibly can in the opposite direction.
3/3 YOU ARE A BAD PERSON
She ungraciously hits the floor back first, out cold and with a bruise on her forehead and nose.
I NEVER PROMISED ANYTHING OF THE SORT but wow hattie. wow.
Well that.... that just happened.
Ella feels that she may have gone deaf from house loudly Hattie had screamed, and when she dares to move her hands away from her ears, she can only stare at the sight before her. Kyra stood a foot away from Hattie, still growling at the girl where she fell, but making no move to attack further.
Hattie herself earned a few new colorful bruises, and Ella... well, Ella was just without words. "Kyra..." She coaxed the wolf over to her, "You are a good girl, yes you are." Scruffing the animal's fur, Ella giggled under her breath. "Come on, let's get out of here before she wakes up."
She sauntered past her door, stepping over Hattie on her way to the stairs.
Maybe next time Hattie would know better than to try that with Ella.
(But knowing Hattie, probably not)
