Her injuries are healed now, but Voids are still around her, blocking out her ability. It's a little irritating. She should have been more careful, but ... No use crying over spilled milk, right? She had exercised her right to remain silent to the fullest extent, unwilling to give up any information or motive.

She sat in the visitors room, arms crossed. The orange jumpsuit reminded her of when she had been taken in by the government back home.

When you're released on bail, you'll be free to move about, though you will have to appear for every court appointment lest bail be revoked.

[This is uttered with a rather stern look.]

Bail will not be set until there has been a hearing; a hearing will not be held until you've representation. That will most likely take several days.

If you are acquitted, then the charges will not linger; it will be as before.

And if I'm not acquitted? [ Which, most likely, is what will happen. At least to her; it's pretty obvious she did it. ]

That will...depend on the severity of what you're convicted of. I've not even heard the barest details of this case, I fear. Of what are you accused?

Breaking and entering, theft, and assault. [ It wasn't that bad, really. It wasn't like she murdered somebody. ]

One of the security guards.

How severely was he injured, and were you provoked?

He was still walking by the end of the night. And they attacked us first.

...Then the penalty should not be very severe.

Hopefully the jury I get likes newcomers.

"Liking newcomers" or "not liking newcomers" is not the matter under question. Rather, you should say that hopefully you get a jury who will uphold justice.
