Mimsy was still hanging out behind Kevin's feet, studying Kyra warily. Her tail thumped against the porch boards.
"Yes'm, this is Mimsy." She looked up at him at the sound of her voice and then went back to staring at the other dog.
He smiled. "Miss Hattie, it's right nice t'meet ya." He didn't mind her not liking him. It wasn't that big of a deal to him.
