It wasn't that he trusted Crowley not to take revenge- he didn't trust anyone except his brother- but he knew that when the demon did decide the time was right, vengeance would come down against Magneto himself. But that was a story and a line of thought for another day.

Now, he was simply Keeping Watch- or at least his version of it, a dozen or so magpies around the HoA, scanning with black, unblinking eyes as he tried to teach Thora to breathe fire in the common room. If Deadpool got to kill any intruders, then Loki thought it fair enough for him to use any unfortunate foes for hellhound training.

And now that Claire was here, he supposed that Deadpool would have less Keeping Watch and more Keeping Claire from Going After Sylar or Doing Anything Likewise As Foolish. A well invested venture, he was sure.

After Sylar had cut open her head the first time, she had had Sandra to help her through it. Here, despite the close friends she had made and Peter being here, she didn't have that. She couldn't bring herself to talk with anybody about it, not in depth, anyway.

Keeping Mr. Muggles in her arms, hair pulled back into a messy bun, Claire made her way towards the common room. She didn't want to be stuck moping around in her new room. Keeping to herself wouldn't be a problem, and she intended to think more on how she would take down Sylar.

"Loki." She raised an eyebrow, surprised, but it wasn't unpleasant. "Hey."

Claire nodded at his question. Mr. Muggles struggled to leave her arms to check out the invisible animal, which - seeing how Claire had some experience with invisible animals - was not going to happen.

"I know." She flashed him a small smile. It was a nice change, being able to find some sort of connection and companionship with real friends here. It felt like years since she'd last had a real friend to rely on.

"I think this house is the only place I think could handle the kind of bad luck that follows me."

"Youko is here?" She seemed too sweet for Sylar to mess with, thankfully. Then again, if she had a power that appealed to him, it wouldn't matter how sweet she was; Sylar wasn't discriminatory in whose head he sliced open.

Her smile widened into a grin at that. Oh, she remembered that day- and Pickles drinking an entire bath tub of it. Being eternally sober wasn't all that bad, really. "Two months later, huh? Took them long enough."

"Yeah. We're friends." She adjusted Mr. Muggles in her arms, holding him closer to her chest.

"Not too long. Probably a week or two." Helen was the next stop, and then ... well, she wasn't sure about after that. Peter was the next logical one (the first, actually, but he hadn't been around the first time), and possibly the more permanent of her 'couch hopping'. "I don't want to overstay my welcome."

Claire shook her head. "I'm not saying it's not convenient, because it is, but it's not just about that. It's...complicated."

Not everyone can tolerate Deadpool, y'know.

She shook her head, leaning against the arm rest of a chair, keeping Mr. Muggles in her arms. "Very excellent company."

She hesitated, glancing down for a brief moment. She looked back up with a grin. "Would you accept an 'it's not you, it's me'?"

Claire hoped he wouldn't have to become familiar with it.

"Just what it says- it's not anything you've done, it's all me."
