we need darkness to appreciate the light
Who: Cloud and Nami
When: April 2nd
Where: Nami's place
Summary: Cloud refuses to go home. Or maybe he's there already.
Warnings: Peas!
After the Nibbleheim incident, Cloud couldn't go back home. He felt a bit ashamed and he wasn't going to lie, it had brought back some memories. Things weren't supposed to go that way in a day in which Zack would have been laughing all day long, but there wasn't much he could do to change that now. Thing was that he didn't want to risk facing a very angry Sephiroth right now, despite the fact that he hadn't killed him for messing with his hair, the whole thing at the restaurant wouldn't have started if Sephiroth's hair hadn't been dyed in pink to start with. Or at least it was the way he thought about it.
The only place he could think that he'd be safe for the night, was Nami's. He got there, looking like a mess, smelling like smoke and covered in ashes. He gave her a quick, dry explanation and passed out on the couch. The next day was like any other day, the only difference was that instead of going home, he found himself at Nami's place again...
He didn't even enter, but waited for her at the front door. They were friend alright, but he didn't want to impose himself like that.

The list of information for the girl was impressive though. “Sounds like a warrior, not a kitchen assistant.” But she was sure she could find something. And her friend was good at building stuff? Sounded like usopp. She sighed, leaning back on her hands on the pool table and frowned.
“I can always find a job for them somewhere. Dishwashers come and go often enough. And with the boys gone, the restaurant always needs someone fixing something or other. The music shop as well. If they’re both handy at fixing things I’m sure stuff will come up.” She tilted her head, considering. “She sounds like she’d been good protection as well.” By now Cloud knew a bit about her AGI problems anyhow, so he would understand that comment.
“Are they any good with animals? I’d pay them extra if they can help with the farm once in a while as well.” See? She could find several opptions.

"Newcomers, yeah. If they are good with dragons, I'd assume they are good with animals, but I'll ask." And he looked a bit more tranquil, but just a bit; there was a little light out of the tunnel.
Sighing he sinks on the couch a bit more.
"This shouldn't have happened this way..."

“Send them my way. If they’re hard workers, I’ll have jobs for them to do.” But he knew that from first hand experience.
Sliding off the pool table and moving over to the couch she sat on the couch arm, reaching over to run fingers over his forehead and through his hair, just a bit, before leaning over to look him in the face. She gave him a soft smile. “It shouldn’t have, but we’ll take care of it now. As best we can.”

Looks up at her, trying not to look away (which always was a hard thing to do when people faced him like that), and lets out a silent sigh.
"Did you see the news?"

She was pretty sure she knew what part he was thinking of, but she’d let him talk, if he would.
