Every now and then
Who: Damon Salvatore (
dilemma) & Amy Pond (
sharp)
When: Just after the sirens.
Where: Damon's apartment in Sector 5
Summary: Amy's coming to visit Damon's new apartment.
Warnings: None, will update if there are any.
[ Sector 5 is a large step in the right direction by Damon's standards, though somewhat outside of his price range. He isn't proud of the things he'd done (Very proud is a better way to put it), but it's better than that run down newbie building he'd been squatting in for the past few months. This one still has that new apartment smell, recently renovated with the works and sparsely decorated with what little he could acquire on such short notice. It's by no means finished, but it's good enough for now.
It's a wonder Amy would be willing to venture out so close to the sirens, but he didn't question it. Not if she was actually going to go this far out of her way willingly. He knows when and when not to question the Amys of the world (especially when things are going the direction he wants them to).
When she finally gets to the building, he hears the door open and waits for her to travel up the elevator and approach the door before he opens it, greeting her with a self-satisfied smirk. Doing that will never get old. ]
You got here in one piece. Good for you.

I wasn't though! I told him about being engaged. He understood and everything was fine, mostly, but then all of a sudden he kicks me out of his flat -- I was staying there because of the explosion stuff and mine needing to be fixed. But that's beside the point. [ She's rambling at top speed now. The wine is probably helping her be a tad bit more truthful, too. ] He never told me why. I mean, I assumed it was about the whole fiancé thing. Nevermind. Anyway, I stopped by his place one day and Sylar was there. Peter made it seem like he wasn't invited, but they both lied about that. It was an act to make me think that. Peter was actually hiding him there.
I guess it all sort of took off from that. And I just found out. Today.
[ DEEP ANGRY BREATH. ]
I'm not the one hiding anything.
[ Unless he counts a few secrets and 'half truths' back home, but that has no affect here. ]
no subject
Some part of him should be concerned with how she'll react to knowing his past. He can't bring himself to care; it's for the best she thinks he's a questionable monster the same way it's probably for the best she hates Peter a little for the time being. ]
That is pretty horrible. What. A. Dick.
[ It doesn't come out as mocking or condescending, he just figures that's what she wants to hear. The comment about hiding things gets a much more frank response. ]
I'm hiding things. Loads, even. My pre-purgatory baggage is my own business.
