[Rochelle was gone. Gilbert wasn't answering her phone calls. According to Ahiru (who Maya was also concerned about; Jack and Sirius had disappeared as well) he was badly off, and so Maya decided to kick two birds with one rock. ....Or however that saying went.]

[Anyway, Maya's plan went something like: 1) Grab Ahiru, 2) Find Gilbert, 3) ???---]

[Ahem. Finding Ahiru-- she entered the manor and looked around for any tell-tale signs of the other girl. Stage 1 of the plan was about to begin, after all]

[She's been waiting ever since their conversation ended, so she's not far from the entrance when the older girl arrives. She seems concerned - both over Gilbert and what Maya's plan might entail.]

Hi, Maya! So, um...

[And then a whisper! Very secret!]

What are we going to do?

Ahiru! [Maya's expression turns intense as she leans in to whisper right back]

First we're going to find him!

Then...

... Well, I'll figure it out when we get there. Come on.

[motioned]

So we're making a plan as we go, huh?

[She starts to walk, beckoning for Maya to follow.]

He's usually in the kitchen!

Of course! We're true adventurers.

[Maya follows like a sneaky ninja, because obviously she can't just walk like a normal person]

Well, duh, he's pretty much a housewife... But Ahiru, come on, we've got to be stealthy here!

[motioned]

No he's not, he- [But then she lets out a tiny gasp and bends down, trying to make herself more scarce.]

Sorry! You're right! So we just have to be really quiet and he won't hear us coming, right?

That's right! Er, I mean... that's right!

[GILBERT NIGHTRAY, WHERE ARE YOU...]

[Tiny daughter is correct. He is indeed in the kitchen, working with his fancy frosting tools. At the moment he's attempting to put roses on cupcakes.

Because this is his idea of a good time.

[Slowly peering around the corner...]

Oh, I see him! He's right over there!

So what are we gonna do?
