Outside the courthouse is a media frenzy, every news outlet on the island reporting live from the steps where the trial of a Newcomer is about to begin. The accused stands of murdering Azalea Keelson, the daughter of powerful neutral politician Astrid Keelson. Astrid Keelson herself arrives shortly after 9:30 and refuses comment as she makes her way into the courthouse to watch the trial.
Mothers Against Newcomers is handing out free buttons and protests signs with slogans like "MAN HATES BEAST," "JUSTICE FOR LEAH," and "PUT WOLFSON IN THE POUND."
The gallery is open for anyone who wants to watch, but due to the controversial nature of the case, security is tight. Everyone is swept for weapons of all types and there are nulls in the gallery just in case.
