Who: The Striders and anybody coming to visit them over the first week of sickness
When: Wednesday, May 16th to possibly around the 23rd
Where: The Strider apartment
Summary: Bros get sick together. Catch-all log post for guilt plague at the Strider apartment: will include movies, feelings jams, and lots of babying.
Warnings: Almost certainly language, and definitely gross sickie stuff.

[It hits Davesprite first. A little dizzy, a little stuffed up, but obviously it's not a big deal (even if he didn't know sprites could get sick--should he be worried?) so he just shrugs it off like it ain't no thing. Probably serves him right for picking random shades off the ground, who knows whose weird gaunt face those things have touched?

And then it doesn't get better.

[She raises her eyebrow at the cluttered desk before deciding to clear off part of it to make room for her own items. Several puppets and swords clatter onto the floor.] Hope your bro won't mind, haha.

[Carefully, she begins to remove item after item from her plastic bag. Feel free to notice a bottle of Three Olives Cake vodka, a large clear container full of some sort of broth, and a glass cup so far!] You cold?

Nah. [To both questions. There's a ton of crap on the floor, too, some more isn't going to make any difference. And even if Davesprite was cold, no one would ever hear him admit it.

He watches her unpack with mild interest.]

Let me guess: the soup's for you, and the booze is for me.

[A wan smile.]

Haha, very funny, dude. But did you know that drinking booze makes you feel colder? I would say let's try it out if you have a fever, but I promised Janey I wouldn't pull any 'funny business.'

Her words, not mine. [She shrugs, and pulls out a few DVDs from the bag.] As for the soup, Crocker insisted on making some for you. Hey, do you even eat?

Haha. She's like a Disney channel mom who missed her casting call.

[The DVDs catch his attention more than the rest, and he sits up to try to see the titles.]

Most of the time I eat, yeah. I don't have to, though, so I figured I'd give Chef Broyardee a break for a while.

Yeah. But I heard someone was a pretty good film-maker? Maybe you're all she needs for her Disney debut.

[She winks at him and holds up the DVD titles so he can read them better. There's Lilo & Stitch, Oliver & Company, and Tarzan.] Have you seen any of these?

You her agent now? Think you can get her to wear the Mickey ears?

[He leans on his elbows, looks the DVDs over, then points at Tarzan.] I saw this one, yeah. But this guy here looks pretty interesting.

[He points to Stitch.]

Like a hairball someone's cat hacked up, with eyeballs.

[Someone sounds too pleased.]

[Roxy is staring at him incredulously.] Dude, you've never seen Lilo & Stitch before? That Stitch is the craziest little rascal, lemme tell you!

Don't look like no hairball any of my cats have hacked up, though. What kind of cats have you seen, bird boy?

[She's just teasing, of course >: D]

Mostly pink ones. With princess hats and tentacles. Though I guess that was partially my fault or something.

[He sniffs and plucks Lilo and Stitch out of her hands, flips it over to glance at the back a moment, then opens it without really reading it. He takes the DVD out of the case and holds it up for her appraisal.]

This cool?

[Roxy raises an eyebrow.] ...Clearly I'm gonna have to come back here for some good, old-fashioned story time, then.

And yeah, sure! It can be a real tearjerker, though, dude. Let's pop it in.

[She takes the DVD from him and goes over to the television, inserting the DVD in its player. She then plops down on the couch beside Davesprite.]

Oh! One more thing.

[She reaches into her bag and pulls out a light blanket.] Perfect for movie time, no?
