Who: The Striders and anybody coming to visit them over the first week of sickness
When: Wednesday, May 16th to possibly around the 23rd
Where: The Strider apartment
Summary: Bros get sick together. Catch-all log post for guilt plague at the Strider apartment: will include movies, feelings jams, and lots of babying.
Warnings: Almost certainly language, and definitely gross sickie stuff.

[It hits Davesprite first. A little dizzy, a little stuffed up, but obviously it's not a big deal (even if he didn't know sprites could get sick--should he be worried?) so he just shrugs it off like it ain't no thing. Probably serves him right for picking random shades off the ground, who knows whose weird gaunt face those things have touched?

And then it doesn't get better.

Better is a thing it spectacularly fails to get.]

[Sprites don't dream, but when Davesprite sleeps he wanders through memories of endless heat. He's broiling on the roof under the Houston sun, he's flying over an ocean of oil burning sick and green, he's tearing through the same swath of ogres over and over above the lava pits of LOHAC. It never stops. He hews through their necks with Caledscratch until their heads dangle from sick black strings. He reverses and reverses until his arms ache, until he could throw up from exhaustion and sunstroke.

Then there's a barking laugh and his sweat goes cold and sour and he runs back to do it all again.

When he finally struggles awake it's in a tangle of sheets all caught around his wings, and it's dark and the room is reeling around him and he doesn't know what time it is, doesn't know the place. This isn't his stuff and this isn't their apartment in Houston, where are his turntables? He thinks Dave is there (this doesn't confuse him, in his fevered half-consciousness) but he can't get up, can't even push the covers off. He fights a wave of sudden vertigo and at least gets his arm under him, pushes himself up on an elbow.

His voice is a croak and he has never felt this weak. It feels like the bed is turning. He's two years old again and he's fucking terrified.]
