February HoA Open Log
Who: All House of Awesome people and guests
When: Month of February
Where: The House of Awesome
Summary: Open Log for HoA CR
Warnings: Will be updated as needed!
((OOC: So! Please see the House of Awesome Metapost for info on the house. ANYONE not Lucifer can enter the porch - and while you CAN hit the buzzer to have someone meet you, you can ALSO just walk in! Remember folks, Lucifer CAN get on the roof, k? The inner door is only locked AFTER Sirens. Wander around the ground floor, or go visit people's apartments. The POOL cannot be gotten to without a resident though. If you want Danger Room time, please label your threads as Danger Room threads since it has limited access. Tag your subject line with the date and time, ok? And any warnings if needed. Castiel is the only angel with access to the levels lower than the pool, his apartment is Michael proofed, as is Magneto's office (which is also Gabriel proofed). Magneto's condo, the main kitchen, and some other places may be Hellhound Proof.))

He motioned at the salt. "I was wondering how hard you could freeze salt water?"

"Easily enough handled. Salt water won't present an issue. I've used it to proper effect before."

"And thank you. You've done much to help me safeguard my household and family. I am quite grateful, and in your debt." He didn't believe Hitsugaya was doing this to earn favours or to lead others to be indebted, but he was an adult, and Magneto treated him as such - and that meant repaying favours, or at least making it clear he would.

"It's not a problem. My reiatsu naturally manifests as cold; holding it in requires more effort than letting it out. I've frozen greater quantities than this and still had plenty of energy left over."

'Overprepared' was practically his middle name when it came to making sure his important people were safe. When you were lax, bad things happened. He'd eased off of Hinamori while she'd served under Aizen, believing her to be safe with him . . . And look what had happened there.
The shift in room temperature came without so much as a gesture on his part. The overall temperature only dropped a couple of degrees and was more a general side-effect than anything else; the true focus was put into the precise quantities of water that needed to be frozen and what shape they needed to take.
He concentrated on the fresh water first, only small twitches of his fingers dictating the flow of reiatsu into the pellet shapes of various sizes. The pellets were smooth and perfectly-formed, as they well should have been -- all in the space of less than twenty seconds.
After all, he was accustomed to far more detailed applications of his power than this. Even if he didn't get the urge to make ice statues all that often.

While Hitsugaya worked, Magneto watched while adding an obscene amount of salt to the second batch of holy water. It was going to be more salty than the Dead Sea, which he wanted. Once the first batch was finished, he carefully poured it into the first bucket, letting some play though his fingers. With his infra-red radiation blocked, he didn't need to worry about it melting. "Wonderful. This is perfect."
