[it's a beautiful day for Siren's Port. Absolutely lovely. Birds and trees and bees an all sorts of other little happy, colorful things. Why, here comes one of them now, joyfully jogging across the baseball field!

Oh, no, that's... just a running man in a butterfly costume. Yelling.

- GYAH! [and suddenly Monarch is scrambling at air one-handed, and falling backwards a good sixteen feet - into someone's arms.

Naturally, he freaks]

Hey! Hey! You asshole, let go! I am THE MONARCH! You are - nngh - going to face - my wrath! Put me down!

[greedyful]

[Greed's surprisingly solid, so all that pitching and squirming has little effect on him, but he does as he's told asked, dropping the Monarch the remaining few feet to the pavement.]

No need to yell, I can hear you just fine.

[He's peering at a cylindrical container (oh hey I took this), holding it up to the light and squinting as it reflects through the blue liquid inside.]

So what does this do?

[themonarch]

[and down he goes in a sprawl with an "Ow!" before scrambling back onto his feet. He can see the crumpled, comatose thug behind Greed, which should really give him pause, but he's too pissed off to care about self-preservation right now.]

I have no fucking clue, just give it back! I have to give it to somebody who should have had it like, two hours ago. You're making me late! [swiping for it!]

[greedyful]

You're already late. [Matter-of-factly as he turns it upside down to watch the bubbles roll up lazily. He peers down at the butterfly.]

What's it worth? [Because clearly it does something if someone wants it.]

[themonarch]

Four two-hundred box sets of poison and tranquilizer darts and your ass, which I will be personally handing to you if you don't give me that back! [popping his wings out menacingly, and aiming his (dartless) wrist-weapon. It still has its tiny laser]

[greedyful]

[He doesn't seem too intimidated, though his eyes follow the path the laser takes to his chest with a raised brow.]

Sounds boring, you cant get anything better than that?

[He hands the canister back, mostly because he has no use for such a thing.]

[themonarch]

[Monarch takes it back, visibly appeased. Good, at least someone is properly intimidated. He rolls his eyes at this strange guy with his furry little vest collar, but he's lowered his weapon.] Oh yeah, because money's just falling from the sky in neat little packages. This is prime weaponry I'm trading for here, 'kay? Nothing you'd know about, since you obviously aren't a supervillain. I mean maybe I could see you as like... an odd henchman, or some mad scientist's genetic experiment...

[greedyful]

[He wrinkles his nose at that, peering up for a moment as if money really should be falling from the sky here. It's a strange place.]

Funny you should say that. [He grins again, lifting his chin.]

[themonarch]

[he holds up his hands] Look, not that I'm not flattered, but as far as henchmen go I don't think you're my type. We're just too different people. I mean look at us - you're a nutjob, I'm perfectly sane... it wouldn't work out.

[greedyful]

[That just amps up his amusement ten fold, what a strange little bug.]

Working for people's not really my style. Besides, you seem like an errand bug to me, petty theft for simple weapons? You really should think bigger.

[themonarch]

What did you just call me? [oh you done it now, Greed.] What was that? Eh? An errand bug?

[all up in ur personal space, jabbing a finger at u]

You and your gay little fur vest have no idea the tiger you're poking! No errand bug would have sent could defeated Phantom Dickwad! No errand bug could have filthied up a Venture robot! No errand bug could have imperiled the life of the Venture family again and again all while accompanied by his incredibly smokin' wife and commanding hundreds of minions!

[greedyful]

[He leans back, only a little at all the jabbing, chuckling low]

Maybe you should send your minions then.

[themonarch]

Yeah, well - ! I... don't... exactly have them here. Yet. [deflates a bit] But I will! Oh, mark my words, I will.

[greedyful]

[Greed can only imagine dozens of like minded little men in butterfly suits, following this loud fellow with crazy eyebrows. It makes his shoulders shake silently.]

You're late. [admonishes]

[and the... crazy eyebrows curl down in confusion]
