Well, I don't know if all that's true, 'cause you got me and baby, I got you...
Who: Gabriel, Jinx, and their friends and family.
When: Friday the 13th, before sirens.
Where: A park that has been shamelessly borrowed for this event.
Summary: JINX AND GABRIEL ARE GETTING MARRIED.
Warnings: Schmoop.
[Friday the 13th is a day of preventing bad luck from finding you- and it will find you, somehow. But for an unlucky little lady who has been a staple of Siren's Port for a few years, it's her luckiest day, so what better day for her wedding?
A small park has been rented for the occasion with a combination of Jinx's charms and her pocketbook and it's really anyone's guess which one won out. Lines of chairs form the aisles, draped in purple, black, green, and offset by red roses everywhere. Rather than a carpet for the bride to walk down, the grass seems to be covered in a blanket of soft rose petals.
Let's just say if you wanted roses today, you're out of luck.
The reception area stands off to the side, offset by dozens upon dozens of ice swans and... for some reason a living elephant also decked in purple and black. Jinx wanted one. The zoo obliged. The end.
And where there should be an organ, there's a harpist. The groom, standing up at the front of the makeshift altar with the king of Hell on his left and a Prophet of the Lord at his right, looks as smug as the cat who caught the canary- or, more appropriately, the canary who charmed the cat- and despite the few stage whispers of "Yes, Chuck, it's too late to make this a Jewish wedding", all is well.
And when the harpist starts playing "Stairway to Heaven," it begins.]

HERE COMES THE GODDAMN BRIDE
Instead of a bouquet of flowers, the sorceress is holding what some people may recognize as Sander Cohen's rabbit mask. When she's almost to the altar, she breaks off from Trauma to walk over to an empty chair in the front row, one that's marked "Father of the Bride." She props the mask up on the chair, smiles to herself, then makes her way back to the path. A few more steps and she's standing in front of the altar.
That's when Jinx stops to take a deep breath.
Then, with her heart pounding in her ears, she turns to Gabriel and takes hold of his hands. Catlike eyes catch amber ones and her shoulders relax. Suddenly, she can't stop smiling.]

Jinx insisted that he was invited, when they talked for just a bit, a few days ago-
But its decidedly weird and uncomfortable, and probably one of the most awkward moments of uncertain feelings in his life, watching her parade up to the altar like some crazy, off-beat, delighted bride-princess.
Roxas and Ahiru both have better parts in this. Heck, he's just the wedding DJ, and not even sure if this is the kind of permanent stamp on losing an estranged friend that he wants to celebrate.
But she really does look so happy.
From somewhere in the back row on the bride's side, throat closed up with too much feeling that stars to press in on his chest, Joe Fieldman slouches down in his seat and has a strange sort of heartache he'd like to ignore, and a vicious envy for just how good Gabriel is at making that wild witch pleased as pie and an honest woman and uh .... whatever's actually going on here.
He feels like it's giving up a friend to a 'happily ever after' he's been in denial about since they started.
So it's no waffling decision, that he's going to have get some of the free drinks before so much as trying to make a party of the reception. And find some kind of excuse to shed about half of this penguin suit, because it's over 80 degrees out.]

He watches her go up with a smile on her face. She certainly looked the part of a bride. It brought back memories of his own wedding so many years ago, that it seemed like a different lifetime. He had been a different man then, and things seemed so certain and decided. He hoped that their happiness would last as long as possible.]
