Chris was trying to make an effort to be involved with with the celebrations this time. During Thanksgiving he had mostly been lost in his own bitter sweet memories to be much in the spirit of things, so he was trying to make up for it.

Solstice night was more about magic than their family though. Even if their magic was so tightly knit into their family bond, he didn't have to think about his mother busying herself in the kitchen as they set up the alter for tonight.

"You know, there's a ton of people who think this night in 2012 is supposed to be the end of the world," he mentioned conversationally as they lit candles.

Summary: I'd say this was the saddest Halliwell Thanksgiving ever, but that wouldn't count for all the ones Chris had after everyone he loved turned evil or died.

[Chris doesn't want to be here. He doesn't want to be doing this. It brings back too many memories of his mother hurrying around in the kitchen, trying to have a normal holiday dinner when the world was falling apart around them.

He doesn't even like turkey all that much.

So while Prue is trying, and failing, to put together a traditional dinner, Chris is mostly ignoring her by looking through the Book of Shadows. His hand flicks in the air in front of him, turning the pages with his telekinesis rather than by touching it.
