Picnic time!

Who: Kevin, Bruce, Mimsy and all the invitees
When: Sunday August 5th Noon - ?
Where: Kevin and Bruce's pad.
Summary: Kevin invited some people for a picnic/barbecue thing, hopefully they all stop by.
Warnings: Kevin's temper, possibly Crowley/Magneto, Miss Unohana smiling. Will add others as necessary.

Kevin has spent the last couple of days cooking, baking and cleaning the house with Mimsy and Bruce's help.

He's moved everything outside and will be manning the grill, and making sure that everything is nice and ready.

Some foods on offer:

Typical grill fare (burgers, dogs, sausages, chicken)
Corn on the cob (on the grill!)
Salads (macaroni, potato, three bean, regular lettuce salad, egg, tuna, and chicken)
Fresh vegetables with dip
Fried okra
Greens
Potatoes au gratin
Eggplant lasagna
Fried fish and hushpuppies
Pies/cobblers (blackberry, strawberry/rhubarb, apple cobbler w/streusel topping, blueberry, pecan pie)
Cakes/cupcakes (devil's food, carrot, vanilla)

All buns/breads are homemade, by Kevin as are all the desserts. There are two huge tables of food with paper plates. There are three coolers of drinks (one saved for alcoholic drinks brought by the guests). Mimsy is trolling for food, Kevin's wearing an inhibitor, and all are welcome!

Anyone who fights will be asked to leave and then removed. Kevin's in a mood, and just wants to have fun.

[He tries not to sound too interested.]

didn't know ya liked doin' stuff like that.

It's some of the first things I learned to do using my powers, it's calming. And yes, I enjoy it. It's almost zen.

[He cocks his head to the side and then shrugs.]

Always liked metal better'n plants. Even afore...

[He takes off a glove to let his hands air. They get hot in the gloves.]

I've always been fond of it myself.

[He wasn't nervous around Kevin without his gloves.]

[A snort as he pulls off both gloves and pulls up his sleeves. It's more exposed than he lets anyone see him, usually. But, he's hot.

He brushes a bug into ashes, off his face.]

Yeah, I figured.

[He watches, but doesn't comment. Still, it's enough to get his attention.]

I always have extra around, if you'd like to have some.

I might. I ain't been able t'get any recently an' m'stockpile's runnin' out.

[He whistles and Mimsy comes over jumping up into his lap. She settles across his legs as he ruffles her ears.]

I've always a stockpile.

[He watches the dog - puppy still, really - for a moment.]

She's grown.

She don't fit in my pocket no more.

[He's disappointed about that, but he accepts it. Just like Mimsy gladly accepts his love.]

I can see not. But you can roll over and smack your face into her to wake up in the mornings.

[He's heard stories. Since he doesn't have dogs.]

Naw. She generally sleeps across m'chest. Ain't gotta roll no where.

[He runs his hands along her back, and picks out a small burr from her tail, dissolving it with his powers.]

She'll get too big for that soon too.

[He watches the causal use of Kevin's powers. Normally he would consider it a good thing. But Kevin's behavior with Mary, his brainwaves - this wouldn't be what he'd consider 'good'.]

[A soft snort.]

She's too big fer it now. Don't stop her.

[He glances up as a leaf falls on the lawnchair and just dissolves it, wiping away the ashes.

You know what an addict's brain looks like, right Magneto? If not, you do now.]

At least my kittens are small.

[He's aware. It's why he's concerned.]
