Live to tell the tale
Who: Yosuke Hanamura, Raphael and Amy Sorel
When: September 18th, afternoon
Where: The Sorels' home
Summary: Yosuke applies for a part-time job at the Sorels'. It's a pretty easy job, let's say.
Warnings: BLOOD
[The address Raphael gave him leads to what appears to have at one time been a church in a distant part of Sector 3- old, ornate, utterly worn-down, obviously untouched for decades if not longer. The knock on the door goes unanswered for a few minutes but at last the great wooden carving slides open a crack and a pair of glowing red eyes appears.]
Monsieur Hanamura. Come in.
[The door opens wide enough for him to come inside, but Raphael does not reveal himself until after it's closed, standing off to the side of the entryway until the last of the sunlight is gone. The interior of the church isn't nearly as creepy as the outside, appearing to have been cleaned up and cared for.
Dark curtains cover every window, though. That's a little disconcerting.
Raphael, however, is as calm and casual as if Yosuke were coming over for dinner.]
I hope it was not too difficult to find.

It's just a little needle, right?
no subject
[Raphael is beginning to set it up, checking parts and plugs to make sure they are where they are meant to be. Professor Van Helsing was the one who taught him to use the thing, and he paid close attention. The last thing he wanted was to mess it up and end up in trouble again.]
Roll up your sleeve and have a seat, Monsieur Hanamura.

Sh'rry. Jushta shec.

Raphael hasn't seen any horror movies, though, so he has no idea how ridiculous this is becoming.]
In good time.

((ooc: Feel free to keep going without me until you need Amy's input ;; You don't have to wait for me while Amy's just at the side eating cookies.))
Okay, thanks!
Okay, noted. Next time he's wearing shorts sleeves no matter how cold it is outside. Holy crap. But at least he's able to lie his arm on the table, now with the sleeve rolled up just past the elbow, and announce that he's ready for the needle.]
Uh...all set, sir.

At last he heads over to Yosuke's side and briefly swabs his arm with a piece of cotton dipped in alcohol- to disinfect the spot. Without any hesitation or time for anticipation, he delicately inserts the needle the way Van Helsing showed him- to minimize the sting.
He waits a moment until he can see the draw beginning to work, sniffs as though catching a scent, then turns.]
I will return in a few minutes. Is there anything I can get for you in the meantime, Monsieur Hanamura?
no subject
[His voice squeaks a bit, and his eyes are still wide from the whole needle thing happening. It stung a bit, but it wasn't too bad. He's more freaked out than pained, in fact. He's never had this sort of experience before, though there had been an IV in the hospital. He just hadn't been conscious for it.]
Does it take long?
no subject
It should take approximately four minutes. I will return then. In the meantime, please relax.
Come, Amy.

[Yosuke stares at the needle for a moment, but he holds -mostly- still while he waits for the two of them to return. The place is a little old, and not very well cared for. Hmm. If they have enough money to pay some kid to bleed for them, why don't they put some of it into their surroundings? Do they just like things dilapidated? Hmm...]

He's even quicker about placing the bloody needle aside and stepping away from it. Wouldn't want to do anything uncouth here.
He provides Yosuke with a piece of gauze to press to his arm.]
That will be all. You should rest comfortably for a time to prevent dizziness.
no subject
He nods, pressing the gauze to his arm like he's supposed to. It's surprising to see stars for a second, and he slumps back a little weakly.
Yeah, okay. Maybe they were right about eating the cookies first. He'll remember it for next time.]
Right, I can do that. Uh, should I show myself out after?
no subject
[Raphael doesn't really sound like he cares one way or another as he packs up the machine, then turns his attention to the blood packet, now full. And still warm, too. Yosuke may notice him trying to compose himself, taking a few breaths and resolutely sealing it up for later.]
I must thank you for volunteering. I will count out your money and return with it shortly.
no subject
[Yep, he definitely catches that. And squirms a little uncomfortably, but does his best to lean back and relax a little. It's obvious the guy isn't planning to eat him anyway. So he musters up as mike and a nod.]
Great. I'll be right here, sir.
no subject
Is there anything I can get you?
no subject
[It's probably too late for the cookies to help. Though a pretty girl trying to look after him does brighten his face a bit.]
no subject
[She pauses. She could leave at this point, but curiosity gets the better of her.]
You seem familiar. Might I have met you somewhere?
