There's something happenin' here

Who: The fine men and women of SERO's security forces and YOU!
When: From October 17th on through the 20th
Where: Sector 2, SERO HQ, any SERO-affiliated businesses in the city
Summary: Following what appears to be the murder of one of their own, SERO is on high alert and that means heightened security. And that means hassling you.
Warnings: Potential for violence and language

(ooc: Pick a day, pick a place and get your characters treated to an encounter with SERO's gung-ho security force. All characters are welcome to this post, but please let me know their affiliation status in a subject line or similar so I will know how to have the guards act.

SERO-affiliates will be treated respectfully and fairly. Employees of SERO businesses who are not officially affiliated will be regarded with some slight suspicion, but allowed to go on their way.

Neutral characters will be identified, treated with suspicion and allowed to go about their business, but they will be watched like hawks and possibly followed.

AGI-affiliates and employees will be openly harassed.

Depending on your character's behavior towards the guards several outcomes are possible. They can be let go to continue about their business, and usually will be, but if your character is belligerent or refuses to cooperate, SERO's guards might get a little bit nasty, up to and including having you arrested for trespassing. Keep that in mind before you antagonize the fuzz?

October 17th, Violet Systems [SERO-backed Company]

[personal profile] excellentviolet 2012-10-18 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
[As Violet Systems' founder and CEO, Lee Chaolan didn't find much of a problem with the security forces suddenly surrounding his small facility in Sector 2. While he was with the Newcomer Political Party, he was candid about his affiliation. But it was rather known that he didn't regard the other faction as enemies of his. In fact, those with an eye on Violet Systems would know that one of his favorite associates was Tonegawa, an affiliate of AGI.

With that said, while Lee was cool about the security forces at his facility, he was quite certain that they could have been briefed regarding the way he has been open to collaboration with the other faction. At the back of his mind, he hopes that his company's achievements bearing SERO's name would have more weight than that.

He walks towards the security forces at the entrance to VS's facility.]

[Violet Systems is one of the more heavily secured businesses, with a full contingent of guards on rotating shifts at every entrance.

As Lee approaches the building, the guards all stand at attention, their leader stepping up.

Your identification card please, sir.

[Lee couldn't help but sigh as he notices how heavy the security is around his facility. With a smooth movement, he pulls out his citizenship ID from his jacket pocket, as well as a card verifying him as a SERO-backed business owner.]

Here you go.

October 19th, Sector 2 [AGI backed businesses]

[personal profile] that_is_asecret 2012-10-18 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Under the city's definition he would be an AGI businessman, he'd certainly done a decent amount of work for them, in addition to giving them certain funds. He wasn't what you would call fiercely loyal by all means, but the company suited his purpose for now. Whoever was doing these attacks was doing him a favour though, it was so easy to make people hateful and angry within this city where everyone was already on edge. This is how he imagined the world would be before it was eventually destroyed.

He strolled casually through Sector 2, enjoying the glances and the anger and hate radiating off from nearby security forces ]

[personal profile] thepull_npc 2012-10-18 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
[He may not be enjoying the hatred for too much longer.

Two guards approach and stop him, guns held at their sides, but all-too-obviously visible.
]

This property is under Security Level Orange by order of SERO. Your identification card please, sir.

[Don't matter where the hate is directed, as long as they have it. Unless they manage to turn that into a glowing speech about how life is wonderful, and that they are the best of friends, and give him a great hug, its all good.]

Oh yes? I'm afraid I don't know the colour codes very well, would you care to explain them to me, gentlemen?

[He goes into his bag, he had the card the NCC gave after taking the citzenship tests, but who knew what they would think of that]

October 18, recently arrived

[ Discord is in a foul enough mood. Forgivable, as just a few hours ago, he found himself not in the capital chaos of the world as he claimed for himself but instead in a dreary, drab sort of place where his powers - his very being, really - are not working as they should be. This place should have been chaotic, upside down at the very moment of his whims. Yet the buildings are still grounded, the citizens are not warped, and Discord is still here.

Understandably, this angers Discord quite a bit. It angers him enough to not really care of what is happening to the city right now. His appearance cause many of the natives' here to turn their heads, and he doesn't mind. A sight like him disrupts normality.

And he is all about disrupting the status quo. ]
presspasskey: (At work)

October 20th, unaffiliated

[personal profile] presspasskey 2012-10-22 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Unaffiliated she may be, but Lois is also fairly recognizable as both a reporter and refusing to have anything to do with either company. Despite all this, she spent a few days checking out the sector and talking to residents and workers before actually approaching the esteemed SERO security forces at HQ.

She does so now, however.

On the other hand, she isn't looking for a fight, so her entire posture is business-like and (currently) non-confrontational, if confident.]

I'm looking for the officer in charge to answer a few questions.
