When: 12/12/12, beginning at 12:12am and ending around 10pm at night.
Where: Siren's Port, across all sectors
Summary: Everything detailed here is going down, citywide. Panic and chaos ensues as shortly after midnight, everyone in Port loses their special abilities. Is The Core playing a cruel doomsday trick? Or is it something even more sinister?
Warnings: Violence & Civil Unrest. Angry swearing inevitable!

[ guess who's going to be obliviously holed up in the library all day?? THIS DUDE. and he'd probably read through the whole event without noticing anything unless you'd like to fix that. ]

[Initially, she wanders in to get away from everyone for a while, praying nobody else will see her here. Of course, once she enters, she sees the exact person she's hoping to see least of all. In her hurry to exist the room, unfortunately, she slams right into a bookcase, making a rather solid thump against the novels therein.]

[ he glances up at the sound, and seems to consider returning to his novel for a moment before getting up with a sigh. if there was an idiot walking into shelves here, he might as well tell them off before they damage some books with their thick skulls or whatever.

[A little dizzy from that collision, it takes her a moment to collect herself enough to keep moving. She can hear the footsteps moving closer as she waddles towards the door, worried that it won't be fast enough.]

Hey, moron, what do you think you're--

[ ... and then falling silent at the sight of the very familiar duck trying to make her getaway. WAIT A MINUTE. ]

[motioned]

[She cringes at the sound of her name, before turning very slowly to look at him.]

[ approaching, bending down to look her over because what even is going on. ]

What are you doing? Did you lose your pendant?

[motioned]

[She shakes her head; she's still wearing it, but for some reason - nothing is happening.]

... Do you need water?

[ trying to pick up 8( ]

[motioned]

[She shakes her head. She'd tried that already. But she lets him pick her up, not squirming or trying to run off again.]

What do you mean, no? Here, let's get some.

[ determinedly setting off for the kitchen, trying to ignore the nervous feeling in the pit of his stomach. ]

[She shakes her head harder, flapping her wings slightly. This would be much easier if she could talk!]

[ setting her down on a chair

turning his back

and pouring a pitcher of water over >8| ]

[WOW RUDE. Nothing changes, except now she (and the chair) are very wet, and she's giving him A Look.]

[ IT'S NOT RUDE IT'S COMMON COURTESY. but he does look pretty stunned by this. ]

[She shakes her wings out, trying to get some of the excess water off. It makes an excuse not to look at him, at least.]
