These words I've shared
Who: Open Log for all those who let themselves get taken in.
When: September 1st, 1918 and September 2nd, 1918.
Where: Undisclosed barracks at the Missionworth Military Base
Summary: The Military wants answers, and they're hoping you can help give them. Also, there are at least temporary beds. Try and sleep off that hangover.
Warnings: Interrogations will only go as badly as expected.
Though the newcomers haven't been treated as an overall threat, they have been taken to their new location as quickly as possible, and under fairly heavy guard.
Those guarding the newcomers vary between overly interested, and incredibly wary. Some seem to barely be able to hold back asking questions, and some clearly expecting a fight at any moment.
Needless to say, the tension is a bit high.
The newcomers who came quietly (Or at all) are held for the meantime in an empty barracks, bunk beds lining the walls and a bathroom off one end of the hall.
Periodically, a guard will come by and request for someone to follow them to be questioned.
It's likely a good idea to follow.

Chessur?
[He keeps his voice low, one that's both annoyed and relieved at the strange cat's visitation.]
no subject
Should I care to be anyone else?
[It's a rhetorical question, really, for that he is capable of being other people if he so chose. After all, when being a Cat comes with so many conveniences, why should he stop being one when there's no great need to?]
no subject
[Of course he tries to answer the rhetorical. But he doesn't feel like he's alone anymore.]
What exactly have you been doing all this time?
no subject
[He's all grins and smiles when he says it, even if he's still hiding away in invisibility. He's drifted and lurked and generally gotten into all sorts of things he shouldn't have, and no one is the wiser for it.
Just as expected of him, really.]
no subject
[Hiccup can just feel the grinning.]
Really? Nothing useful?
no subject
[It's an honest question, for once. Things are distinctly unusual, yes, but Chessur would much prefer for things to be the usual sort of unusual as opposed to the sort that reminds him a little too much of life under the Red Queen's rule.
Not of course that it seems particularly out of the ordinary, mind. That would be entirely too easy.]
no subject
Reasons as to why armed men are putting people in barracks? Why they're holding others for questioning? And why the year isn't the year it's suppose to be?
[He then throws his arms up in the air.]
Because none of this is making any sense...!
no subject
Hopefully there will be fewer beheadings this time around.]
Wouldn't you do the same?
[A brief moment later, an unseen weight settles down on the mattress. Floating is all well and good, but so too is getting invisible cat hair all over Hiccup's things. (Some things never change.)]
no subject
[The boy falls silent. After the question sinks in deep enough, Hiccup lets his arms drop unceremoniously back down to his sides.]
...Probably.
[If ever there was a similar situation, he would have ended up watching the other Vikings do the same.
Again he curls up as the bunk shifts a little, keeping his eyes on the newly sunken spot. Having a little extra hairs everywhere doesn't hurt. His nose wrinkles as he hesitantly lifts a hand, experimentally reaching out to see if the invisible cat is really just sitting there.]
no subject
Then it's hardly strange.
[Inconvenient, yes. But not actually strange.]
no subject
Hiccup lightly tests this again to make sure he isn't going crazy, mulling over everything discussed and left unknown.]
So they see us as a threat. It's sorta like how Siren's Port has a thing against any "Newcomer" appearing out of thin air. They're taking their precautions with us – which is rough, but it's tolerable since I'm use to that treatment. How long are they planning to keep us in here?
no subject
Why not ask them yourself?
[Chessur certainly isn't about to all the work, for all that he might be curious himself. It's simply that being told to stay in one place tends to matter a lot less when there aren't a whole lot of people would dream of keeping a cat in one place (and fewer still who actually could)/]
no subject
[Weirding himself out while petting an invisible Chessur isn't going to progress things any further. Besides, this is probably as helpful as he's going to be. Fingers flex as Hiccup withdraws his hand, brow furrowing as he looks over toward the door.]
I'm also gonna go with a backup plan if they don't say much.
no subject
[Sure, it means that he won't be getting petted, but Chessur has never been a tame cat. He can do quite will without human company, and it's not as if there aren't plenty of other people around the place, if he decides he wasn't quite done being the center of attention just yet.]
no subject
Hiccup gives a glance back at the bed, a smirk making its way across the lower half of his face. He doesn't say anything, but he has a feeling he'll see Chessur again at a later time. He scoots off the other side, stepping onto the floor quietly, pausing before making his way to the front.]
no subject
And that is the best thing of all.]
