[It. Is positively. Frigid outside.
Three layers of thin clothing, a pair of boots, and a secondhand coat would be all that protects Aqua from the biting chill, were it not for the crackling orb of self-contained fire that is hovering beside her.

She's waiting for the other half of this sparring match ... and keeps herself busy by hopscotching from one foot to the other while scanning the horizons, pausing every so often to stretch.]

I kind of sprung it on him in the middle of the fight, though. [A trace of a smile appears.] But I get why it's surprising.

Aha. Was he speechless?

[The trace of his smile softens her own expression a little, though the thoughts are already beginning to stir in the back of her mind.

There's an awful lot that Terra knows that she doesn't, isn't there? But what reason would he have to bring up a thing like Roxas's second Keyblade? It's not like she said anything about going to spar with him before she left. Terra wasn't even home at the time. She just ... went.
Then again, Terra's discovery had been a surprise. Maybe he just wants hers to have been a surprise, too.

Well. He has gotten his wish, in a way.]

[Or he's in the woods watching right now.]

For w minute or two, yeah. But then he got over it.

There's a lot you guys know that I don't--plenty of techniques I never learned. You could say I was self-taught.

[Shhh there's no need to compound immeasurable shame shh.]

Isn't that so in Sora and Riku's case, too? None of you have trained formally under a Master.

[And Kairi's, she adds silently. But she's not really missing out, is she? Aqua is inclined to think that none of them are after today's fiasco.]

[Suddenly: awkward.]

They haven't. I guess...I inherited some of what I can do from Sora. But he had to learn a lot on his own, too.

[And then he used the Keyblade to make heartbabies.]

[Cool story.
... Wait.]

... ... Am I right in assuming that Sora only wields one Keyblade?

[Please let her be right.]

That's right.

[He just isn't as cool as his Nobody.]

[Begins a slow nod.
Thank goodness for that.]

I see. And ... Riku?

Nope. Just me.

Okay, then.

[She places a hand on her hip and relaxes her stance a little.]

... Any other surprises you think I should know about?

[...he's not sure whether to be amused or nervous.]

Um...I guess not?

Then ... I guess we have two options.

[Usually, she sort of likes surprises. But staying at the Port has kind of ... warped that, a little. She hums a dark, thoughtful note and turns slightly to feel around on her back once again, now that she has her wits about her.

... The coat is definitely damaged beyond repair, as are the several layers of clothing she'd been wearing underneath. Still not sure if she'll have a new scar to match the one Vanitas gouged into her on that awful day.
A strained sigh comes and goes. Might have to go clothes shopping again soon.]

We could clear the slate and start this match over ... or go find some hot cocoa.

Well...I really do want to learn. I'm good with a Keyblade but I could be better with magic--Xion beats me there.

But it's really cold. And cocoa sounds really good.

[Xion is better at magic. Worth investigating ...]

Then ... maybe it's better to focus on the area where you'd like to improve.

[ I'm still learning, too. She'd like to say it, but ... that feels like a defensive statement. Better to keep it to herself ... as a reminder.]

First charm lesson over cocoa, then?

Yeah. That's a good start.

[He cracks a smile. Maybe this afternoon won't be a complete mess after all.]

There's a good place in Sector 3.

[She contemplates a quick trip home to procure an intact coat, and ... shakes her head at the idea, ultimately. She's still riding the small wave of adrenaline and if they're headed inside, there's not much of a point. Walking around with damaged clothing isn't exactly in good taste, but ... she's no worse for wear.]

[He nods at her, then takes a step in the right direction.]

This way.

[Having cocoa together, even with a charm lesson, might not really be a lesson between teacher and student. But Roxas is okay with that. A meeting between potential friends works, too.]
