Summary: A night to mingle at Merlotte's~ Good food, good drink, good music and good people await.
Warnings: idk. This is just a MINGLE POST, full o' action tags. Tag around, baby, and thread-hopping is ~highly encouraged~ There will be bouncers at the door checking ages. Characters 17+ can buy drinks; characters 13-16 will be hand-stamped to show they can't purchase or drink alcohol; characters 12 and under will only be let in with a guardian.

Well, lucky you. So-- when? I mean, I get off my shift in about ten minutes, if you, you know, are up to it tonight.

[doeswhathewants]

I am. Ah- it might be a bit painful for you.

[Considers something else.] You might want to do this more than once if it is for your dog children, yes?

[allucinator]

I'm used to pain, believe me. But yeah. Is that possible?

[doeswhathewants]

Bone breaking, skin splitting, organ grinding pain?

[Purses his mouth] It is. I would need to experiment with a few things to ensure no ... ah- negative- side effects.

[allucinator]

Yes.

[He says it shortly, trying not to linger on it. Anyway, Loki's other words are far more interesting.]

Side-effects like what?

[doeswhathewants]

I see.

[Grins] Losing your mind to a dog-like one. Being unable to return back. Becoming a curse of some sort.

[allucinator]

[He snorts.]

Oh, well, let's work those out first, yeah. Is there anythin' I can do to help?

[doeswhathewants]

Blood. That might help ease the spell a bit, let me attune whatever object we shall use as an anchor further to your spirit.

[allucinator]

[Jack hesitates for just a second before nodding.]

Any object? Or a familiar one?

[doeswhathewants]

Any object, though something that could be worn on your person. A necklace or perhaps a bracelet. Once the ability was at your control, it would be up to you to shift. Either by words or mental picture- those are more difficult.

[He actually won't use Jack's blood for anything but the spell. He likes this one.]

[allucinator]

[He reaches beneath his shirt, tugging out a necklace. The charm on the end is that of the Omega symbol. He gives Loki half a smile.]

I never take it off. Lemme go punch out, kid, and then we'll do this.

[doeswhathewants]

[He arches a brow, but inclines his head]

Acceptable. I'll be here.

[allucinator]

[It takes him ten minutes, actually, despite the fact he's hurrying-- but soon he's out, undoing his apron, a grin on his face.]

Let's go. Your place or mine?

[doeswhathewants]

So quickly? You've not even bought me dinner yet. [A flash of a sarcastic smile]

Yours. Spellwork is difficult with the wards on my place.

[allucinator]

Oh, you're clever.

[He reaches up, playing with his necklace.]

We have wards on ours, you know. Spells and hexes and all that.

[doeswhathewants]

[He gives a little mock bow that still manages to look genuine.] Thank you.

[Then considers] Against angels and demons and the like?

[allucinator]

Mm . . . I dunno. I don't think so, honestly, but I ain't sure. We'll find out, anyway.

[doeswhathewants]

We shall. And barring that, we can use a different location. I can keep the Darkness at bay.

[allucinator]

Yeah. So-- after the blood-- what happens?

[doeswhathewants]

After the blood I will work on the spell. It will take time.

But for tonight's transformation, I'll have to force it upon you, but the pain will lessen if you allow it, accept it. Then in a matter of hours- how many do you need?- you will change back. This spell will be time limited.

[allucinator]

[He sucks on his bottom lip as they walk.]

Let's call it six hours. No point in goin' through all that pain for just an hour or two.

[doeswhathewants]

Six hours it is, then. Now then, what sort of dog do you wish to become?

[Innocuous expression] Or do you prefer for me to choose? [And risk ending up as a teacup poodle]

[allucinator]

[He takes one look at his expression and shakes his head.]

And end up somethin' stupid? Hell no. I'll, uh . . . I don't know, somethin' big. And not idiotic lookin'. Like a retriever or a shepard o' somethin'.

[doeswhathewants]

[A faint smile] A golden retriever. [Those remind him of his brother. Big. Blonde. King of dumb, but loyal.]

[allucinator]

[He wrinkles his nose, the same sort of thought occurring to him.]

Nah. Let's go for a mutt.

[He stops short and murmurs a word. In front of them, a firehouse-- large and tall and red-- slowly expands in the gap between two buildings. Jack grins, pleased, and leads them in. The moment they step into the house, there's a loud, excited barking from upstairs.]

Ahh, there they are. Oye, Sirius, you home!

[He shrugs when no one answers.]
