Who: The Teen Titans
When: Thursday Night, April 5th, 8:00pm.
Where: Titans' Headquarters in the Warehouse in Sector 11.
Summary: First team building exercise!
Warnings: Possible language.

Red Robin had gone and split the group into pairs. They'd have to learn to work with another person before they could figure out how to work as a team. So, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, he'd picked a pretty good match for everyone.

And by match, that meant everyone was paired with their total opposite, except for one team that was going to be a threesome, since one of their members was not going to be a fighter, but more of a medic.

The Groups:

Blood Rose and Kusunoki Masashige (Amy Sorel and Yosuke Hanamura)
Occupational Hazard and Neophyte (Hiccup and Terezi Pyrope)
Sugar Plum and Red Robin (Ahiru and Tim Drake)

There will be four stations throughout this exercise, with everyone rotating between the warehouse, the docks, a sector ll alleyway, and the Titans' headquarters. There will be three different robots to fight, depending on where your team decides to go.

If they go down to the docks, the robots look like this. The tentacle hands will reach out through the water, and you need to destroy them in any way you can. Cutting them off might do the job, or, might not. The objective is to press the red button in the middle of it's body.

If they go to the warehouse, they can see that parts of the floor are covered in spider robots. These shoot little lasers at you from their eyes, and it's hard to reach them all in one go.

If they go down to any alleyway in Sector 11, they'll find that these robots ready to attack from the shadows. While these robots don't move as fast as the others, they make up for that in how heavy and guarded they can be.

And, lastly, once everyone has worked through the three courses, they can come on up to the Titan's Headquarters, sit back on one of the couches, eat some pizza, drink some soda, and just chill and hang out.

Tim does want to meet with each of you individually,. but don't worry! It's all good. He'll address any issues or concerns one on one.

[Hiccup...looks more or less the same. Actually, he has managed to scrape together his costume with the stuff he's 'borrowed' from Nibbleheim, sewing and adjusting everything to fit his scrawny body. He adjusts the pair of goggles he acquired from a sports shop, a temporary add-on for the time being, hair somehow blown back and mussed up due to its presence.]

Uhhh. Sure. Why not. Flip away!

[The training sounds difficult, but doable. There's just something about that grin Terezi has that he's not sure he can trust.]

[ don't worry, hiccup. terezi is completely trustworthy... once she knows one is worth her trust and support, that is. ]

Jumping right into it, I see. [ her grin widens, and she slowly inhales, drawing air and scents over her tongue so she can sense the world around her. ] Does that make you fearless or foolish, agreeing to a coin toss without knowing the stakes?

[If she had said that aloud, he would have felt better. Or it would at least given him an idea of what to expect. But still, it all sounds the same as he frowns in his own little way.]

Yeah, I have a tendency to be either or, really. [Sort of. But she has a point. He shrugs.] Anyway. What choices do we have again? Whatever way we go, there's gonna be something waiting for us, right?

Oh, sure sure...

[ she nods a little and holds up the coin. ]

But you are missing the point! If I were to flip now and it came up Scratch, what does that mean? Does it stand for alleyway or docks?

[ a pause and terezi drops the coin back into her palm, a thoughtful look coming to her face. ]

Whatever that means.

[Another pause. The corner of the Viking's mouth quirks slightly.]

Huh. I didn't think of it that way...

[He folds his arms over one another in thought.]

Isn't it just easier to designate which side stands for whatever location we're gonna head in? If you need a suggestion, I guess Scratch can be, um, the alleyway. I guess.

Better! [ her grin widens just a touch and she sets the coin on the top of her fist, ready to flip. ] Scratch, it's the Alleyway and you lead. Heads, we head to the docks and I follow you.

[ and with that, hopefully speaking fast enough to cause some confusion on hiccups end, terezi flips the coin, catches it out of thin air, and places it on the back of her other hand. ]

And the results are....!

[ weirdly enough, terezi doesn't seem to be looking at the coin as she withdraws her hand. ]

[The boy balks once he realizes what she means by the choices.]

Hey those choices aren't even fair– !!

[Too late. The coin has been flipped and stopped, forcing Hiccup to lean forward and glance where Terezi isn't.]

Scratch. Which means the alleyway. [He shakes his head with a sigh and probably says the next line for his own reassurance as he turns in the direction of the alley.] Can't be that bad...

[ almost immediately, terezi pouts ]

Aw man, did you have to go and say that?

[Hiccup sighs as his gaze falls half-lidded under the goggles.]

Iii'm sorry, I like tempting fate.

Just as well you should! [ beat ] Feel sorry, that is. If anything happens to us, I'm well within my right as a Legislacerator to drub you one for your stupidity.

[ she shakes her dragon cane once to emphasize her point. ]

Anyway! I will follow you since you are the Fate Tempter, so any and all attacks will focus solely on you when they inevitably come.

[ and with that, she points her cane in the exact opposite way of which they are supposed to be going. ]

Onward!

[This makes him feel loads better. At the same time, it reminds him of home. And he can't help but flinch when she threateningly shakes her cane.

He holds his hands up. Just in case.]

All right, fine. I've just become the human meat shield. Done and accepted, no surprise there.

[And just as he takes a step the way he's facing, he has to glance back at her, pointing several times in that area.]

–Wait a mi– we just chose this way, didn't we???

Well, how can you expect me to tell which way we're supposed to go?

[ scoffing! it's a good thing tz's got a good sense of humor about this otherwise they'd both be fucked. ]

Honestly it's like you're expecting a blind girl to be able to see and navigate.

[Oh. Oh. Well, that makes him feel bad. Sheepish and bad.]

Ahh. Sorry. I didn't know.

[Her humor does put him at ease, though. Now what is he suppose to do? Hesitant, he taps the cane with a foot before gently touching her arm.]

It's...this way. Like you said, I'll do the leading.

[ poor hiccup: terezi starts giggling right after he apologizes, leaning forward on her cane and slowly inhaling through her nostrils to situate herself. ]

It is nothing you need to apologize for. You are not the one who blinded me.

[ >:] tap tap tap goes the cane on the ground as she follows him. ]

By the way, I am Terezi!

[ just in case they hadn't been introduced yet. ]

[He's not even sure how to answer that, but he figures it's better to keep from making even more of a fool of himself for one night.

But as Hiccup keeps an eye out for her, he blinks. Introductions. Right. He should do that.]

Hiccup. Or...Occupational Hazard, but I guess that doesn't matter right now.

[ terezi immediately stops walking when she hears that name, tipping her head back and giving hiccup the most incredulous look she can muster ]

... You aren't going to get yourself killed, are you?

[A short huff of a sigh is paired with a half-lidded look.]

I already promised my girlfriend I wouldn't. Which makes that one less thing to worry about.
