Teen Titans Practice Run

Who: The Teen Titans
When: Thursday Night, April 5th, 8:00pm.
Where: Titans' Headquarters in the Warehouse in Sector 11.
Summary: First team building exercise!
Warnings: Possible language.

Red Robin had gone and split the group into pairs. They'd have to learn to work with another person before they could figure out how to work as a team. So, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, he'd picked a pretty good match for everyone.

And by match, that meant everyone was paired with their total opposite, except for one team that was going to be a threesome, since one of their members was not going to be a fighter, but more of a medic.

The Groups:

Ikol and Oathkeeper (Loki and Sora)
Squinky and Imagine Breaker (Guybrush Threepwood and Kamijou Touma)
White Justice and Darkbeat (Momo Himori and Joe Fieldman)
Peregrinus and Grim Couture (Jack Kelly and Kanaya Maryam)
Blood Rose and Kusunoki Masashige (Amy Sorel and Yosuke Hanamura)
Occupational Hazard and Neophyte (Hiccup and Terezi Pyrope)
Sugar Plum and Red Robin (Ahiru and Tim Drake)

There will be four stations throughout this exercise, with everyone rotating between the warehouse, the docks, a sector ll alleyway, and the Titans' headquarters. There will be three different robots to fight, depending on where your team decides to go.

If they go down to the docks, the robots look like this. The tentacle hands will reach out through the water, and you need to destroy them in any way you can. Cutting them off might do the job, or, might not. The objective is to press the red button in the middle of it's body.

If they go to the warehouse, they can see that parts of the floor are covered in spider robots. These shoot little lasers at you from their eyes, and it's hard to reach them all in one go.

If they go down to any alleyway in Sector 11, they'll find that these robots ready to attack from the shadows. While these robots don't move as fast as the others, they make up for that in how heavy and guarded they can be.

And, lastly, once everyone has worked through the three courses, they can come on up to the Titan's Headquarters, sit back on one of the couches, eat some pizza, drink some soda, and just chill and hang out.

Tim does want to meet with each of you individually,. but don't worry! It's all good. He'll address any issues or concerns one on one.

Team 1; Mugetsu and Superboy and Cambion

[This is the team of Superboy, Ichigo, and Christina.

This team can go to the docks or the alleyway.]

[Christina's looking a bit self-conscious in her costume- it's functional, but form-fitting and black spandex does not breathe very well, but she's ready. She has no idea who either of her teammates are, but she's ready. Hopefully... She can get through this without exploding something major.]

Okay. If we go that way [she gestures to the path to the docks], big open space, but a major possibility of being drowned. If we go this way... [she points to the alley] Smaller space, easier to get trapped, but... A more easily manipulated environment?

[If someone sounds like she stayed up half of last night watching cop movies... Well, she did. She didn't want to look like a moron.]

What makes you think anybody's gonna drown?

[If Ichigo looks like he's not given much thought or care to his costume- black hoodie, black pants and what looks remarkably like a black beanie pulled over his eyes with holes cut out- it's because he hasn't.

Zangetsu's strapped across his back, and Ichigo has one hand casually on the tsuka, ready to draw. Although... as it seems they're going to spend some time discussing tactics, he lets his hand drop to his side. If they're going down an alley way, the chances of him accidentally braining someone with his five foot and then some long sword is going to be a lot higher than if there's space to operate, and these guys have never fought with him.]

Before we do anything, maybe we need to talk about what we can do and how we fight, and take it from there.

Team 2: Oathkeeper and Ikol

[This is the team of Loki and Sora.

This team can go to the alleyway or the warehouse.]

[He'd gone through several costume iterations while standing in the mirror and attempting to decide which one made him look the most heroic and dashing, and in the end he'd decided on a conjured a leather body suit of a green so dark it was nearly black, etched in cold, pale green light that formed unintelligible patterns that seemed to swirl and move of their own volition. A hood pulled over his eyes somehow obscured his entire face in shadow that did not move, even in direct light.

Magic.

He was empty handed, without weapons and deciding how to curb his own power depending on which choice Oathkeeper threw in on] Well, what say you, Oathkeeper, dark foreboding alley or dark foreboding building?

[Like most of Sora's other outfits (ranging from things like vampire fangs, to fins, to computer circuitry to clothes in bright shades of red, blue and gold) Sora's costume has little in the way of subtlety. He's clad in shades of gold and white, draped over by a red hooded cloak. He doesn't have the cool magic that shields his identity, so he's gone with a good old fashioned scarf covering his lower face. Admittedly, none of it is by Sora's design (Blood Rose recommended someone she knew) and it's a touch more elaborate than even he's used to. But he likes it.]

Some choices these are. [Despite his words, Sora isn't daunted. If anything, he seems eager and full of energy, shifting his weight between his feet. Spinning his keyblade behind him.] Let's skip the scenic route and take on that warehouse. Whadda ya say?

Team 3: Squinky and Imagine Breaker

[This is the group for Guybrush Threepwood and Kamijou Touma.

This team can go to the warehouse or the docks.]

[Guybrush is wearing a fake eye patch, which doesn't do much for the whole "secret identity" thing.]

I say we try the docks.

[In contrast to his partner's lackluster costume, he was garbed completely in a bright red spandex suit with white boots. His head was adorned with a biker helmet that successfully concealed his identity. Necessary considering his unique hairstyle would likely give him away and he certainly didn't want to change his iconic spiky hair. His appearance mimicked that of a Super Sentai, the Japanese equivalent of a western superhero. Only his right hand was left exposed so he could properly utilize Imagine Breaker.

He really felt awkward with his costume on especially now that he's actually showing it off in public. If any of his friends back home knew he was wearing something like this, he would never hear the end of it. Ever.]

Any particular reason why?

Team 4: White Justice and Darkbeat

[This team is Momo Himori and Joe.

This team can go to the docks or the alleyway.]

Alright, let's go! Darkbeat, right? [They've barely been assigned their teams before Hinamori starts to take off for the docks. She's wearing a white long-sleeve leotard and skirt, with white leggings and a white mask. It looks something like this. There's also a katana tied to her hip.]

Uh-huh. ['Darkbeat' nods squarely, tying on his 'mask' belatedly- a simple black band of fabric across his eyes, with small cut-out holes.] That's me!

It's...a good name, right?

[The boy seems a little less-certain about his choice of superhero name, as well as his costume, a jumpsuit which at least seems well fit.

It's awkward, to be paired up with a girl who wears all white, almost like Namine. He'll be more focused on watching out for her protection, then going all out on the aggressive- he realizes, belatedly, that maybe Red Robin set up this match up on purpose for that reason.

Keeping light and dark in balance? It's a smart move.]

Team 5: Peregrinus and Grim Couture

[ terezi's wearing her redglare's uniform, figuring that the only people who are going to recognize it are her friends from home and if she catches them doing evil deeds... well then. but that's a different scenario for a different time, as right now terezi has since finished reading (and by reading, we mean licking) the outline for the training exercise and is passing the time by flipping a coin almost casually.

it would be casual, if not for that wide, malicious grin on her lips. ]

[Hiccup...looks more or less the same. Actually, he has managed to scrape together his costume with the stuff he's 'borrowed' from Nibbleheim, sewing and adjusting everything to fit his scrawny body. He adjusts the pair of goggles he acquired from a sports shop, a temporary add-on for the time being, hair somehow blown back and mussed up due to its presence.]

Uhhh. Sure. Why not. Flip away!

[The training sounds difficult, but doable. There's just something about that grin Terezi has that he's not sure he can trust.]

Team 8: Sugar Plum and Red Robin

[This team was Ahiru and Tim. And because of this, he was going to be teaching her about the computers around, before he went into the medical issues.]

[Despite the fact that she's a little nervous to be here, mostly out of fear that someone will realize she's not at home, she shows up right on time. She changes before she enters the building, so she'll look slightly different than the last time they spoke at the first meeting.]

Hey. [Tim grinned; the cowl was more intimidating when he didn't smile, but he wasn't going for intimidating today. This was his partner for right now, after all.]

So, I figured we'd start with the computers, and move onto the first aid station. You said you don't really want to fight, right?

[They could splurge on a pizza party, especially now., Tim was so proud of all these little kids who would become so much better then he ever could. He loved it.]

[ Well that's always excellent news! Since Jake does appear to be a little late to the game here. He has to admit he's here more out of curiosity than anything else, having never been summoned for some sort of super hero group before. .... The fact that he may dabble in the world of comics didn't exactly make him opposed to it either. ]
