Teen Titans Practice Run
Who: The Teen Titans
When: Thursday Night, April 5th, 8:00pm.
Where: Titans' Headquarters in the Warehouse in Sector 11.
Summary: First team building exercise!
Warnings: Possible language.
Red Robin had gone and split the group into pairs. They'd have to learn to work with another person before they could figure out how to work as a team. So, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, he'd picked a pretty good match for everyone.
And by match, that meant everyone was paired with their total opposite, except for one team that was going to be a threesome, since one of their members was not going to be a fighter, but more of a medic.
The Groups:
Mugetsu and Superboy and Cambion {Christina Nickson and Superboy and Kurosaki Ichigo)
Ikol and Oathkeeper (Loki and Sora)
Squinky and Imagine Breaker (Guybrush Threepwood and Kamijou Touma)
White Justice and Darkbeat (Momo Himori and Joe Fieldman)
Peregrinus and Grim Couture (Jack Kelly and Kanaya Maryam)
Blood Rose and Kusunoki Masashige (Amy Sorel and Yosuke Hanamura)
Occupational Hazard and Neophyte (Hiccup and Terezi Pyrope)
Sugar Plum and Red Robin (Ahiru and Tim Drake)
There will be four stations throughout this exercise, with everyone rotating between the warehouse, the docks, a sector ll alleyway, and the Titans' headquarters. There will be three different robots to fight, depending on where your team decides to go.
If they go down to the docks, the robots look like this. The tentacle hands will reach out through the water, and you need to destroy them in any way you can. Cutting them off might do the job, or, might not. The objective is to press the red button in the middle of it's body.
If they go to the warehouse, they can see that parts of the floor are covered in spider robots. These shoot little lasers at you from their eyes, and it's hard to reach them all in one go.
If they go down to any alleyway in Sector 11, they'll find that these robots ready to attack from the shadows. While these robots don't move as fast as the others, they make up for that in how heavy and guarded they can be.
And, lastly, once everyone has worked through the three courses, they can come on up to the Titan's Headquarters, sit back on one of the couches, eat some pizza, drink some soda, and just chill and hang out.
Tim does want to meet with each of you individually,. but don't worry! It's all good. He'll address any issues or concerns one on one.

[ he shouts aloud in thought, tucking up into a forward roll to dodge the arm, but wincing as some of the splintered wood jams into his hand - a stupid way to get hurt, but that's what tweezers are for.
Better thanbeing crushed up by the arm, anyway, and Soul Eater glows with an aura of malice, thrust forward between the bound arms, toward the heart if the machine. ]

Soul Eater just barely misses the blinking red light in the center of the machine (which, on closer inspection, also seems to be a button one can simply press) and lodges just to the side of it, slicing through easy-to-cut electrical cables and wires and getting stuck in the twisting, tearing metal.
Water and electricity are not such a good combo, though. Sparks fly around the area Soul Eater's become lodged in, and shocks crackle over the surface of the machine.]
[Hinamori's reaction is just more horror. No, no, no, this can't be happening...]
no subject
...Or that time he was thrown back across the floor, limbs twitching, by a horrible blond with a cruel laugh.
Either memory is enough incentive to drop the blade immediately, the immediate loss of contact sending it dissolving back into the rage of his heart, evaporating in another cloud of black. Joe scrambles to his feet and hauls himself up on a pier post by one arm, watching the machine thrash and snap at itself.]
no subject
[She's interrupted by the angry thrash of the machine and she whirls to face it. This... this thing hurt her friend and hell if she's going to let it live after that. She starts chanting a long, complicated incantantion, concentration written all over her face. There's an immense feeling of pressure in the air as she releases her spiritual energy into a large blue blast that spreads out, envelops the robot, and explodes, completely obliterating the machine into tiny pieces of shrapnel. A shield goes up almost immediately between the two of them and the explosion, preventing them from being sliced by the flying pieces of metal.]
[At least, until an arm reaches out from directly behind them to snatch White Justice around the waist and hoist her into the air.] Uwaah! [Say hello to Robot Number Two!]
no subject
[He's mid-reassuring her when she begins her spell, eyes going wide as the blue explosion reflects in them. Woah. Cool! So she does have really powerful magic!
He's caught breathless in admiration for a long moment, until there's a shriek at his side and he whirls to see the second bot snatching at her.
Oh, not on his watch-] No you're not! [He springs, Soul Eater returning to his hand in a flash and coming down furiously on another metal joint. causing the claw hands to release.]
no subject
[She dodges another grab from the arm.] I guess I can make short work of these— [She stops, noticing the red button on this one, since it's much closer. Her brow wrinkles.] That's odd, I wonder what... [She carefully lines up her fingers with the button.] Hadō Number 1: Thrust! [A small force comes from her fingers and impacts against the button. The entire machine goes still, whirring arms falling silent.]
[She doesn't know what she was expecting, but her face freezes in surprise.] Huh.
no subject
[He considers, coming up alongside her, still standing at alert as he skims the dark water below for any red lights, or something worse-]
We should still be careful for regular monsters around here too- we're lucky, that we haven't run into any yet...
[He looks over Darwin's Darkness Guide frequently, but has never really paid much mind to the creatures that inhabit the waterfront areas.]. Ucgh... Smells like rotten fish around here. Yuck.
no subject
[She hadn't even been thinking about the other monsters. She chided herself inwardly. Though she hadn't been here that long, and often forgot that night here was more than just darkness, overlooking a major aspect in a battle plan like that was dangerous. The water is still, and there don't appear to be any more threats—for the moment—so she turns to Darkbeat.] Here, let me see your hand.
[She doesn't respond to the comment about the smell, although she can smell it too. It's distracting, and disgusting, and has been since they arrived, but she can't let something like that get in the way of doing a good job.]
no subject
I guess I should add some kind of tougher gloves to my costume.
d'aw that icon is perfect
[She frowns. Her healing magic would increase his rate of healing dramatically, but she thinks that maybe they should get the splinters out before healing the skin. Which is going to take time.]
[Time they don't have. Because two more robots are rising slowly out of the water towards the two of them.]
no subject
[He's glancing away distractedly, not wanting to look down at his hand, just glad it's not the one he has to close over his sword, and happy he doesn't need to grasp it with both, like Sora's keyblade.
The little red lights alert him, just as much as the soft noise of disturbance in the water, claws dribbling.]
Oh hey, White Justice, heads up!
also, robot power-up time! because that's how i roll
[Two robots now. Challenging, but not undoable.] I know your secret now— [She fires off two of the Thrust spells she used earlier, one from each hand, aimed at the buttons in the center of the robots. But these robots seem slightly smarter than the last ones, or at least faster. They dodge.]
[And keep coming, fast now, surrounding the pier the two teens are standing on, making long sweeps with their arms and grabbing wildly.]
no subject
Joe's eyes dart from robot to robot, shifting just barely out of reach when the arms come up grabbing- there's so many, surrounding them, that it only makes sense to try something that effects the whole area at once.]
Quick! [He gasps over his shoulder at White Justice, waiting for her to secure herself safely before he unleashes his Dark Aura, something not so different from the release of spiritual pressures Momo is used to, but this one is a flood of darkness in the heart, a powerful force of negativity] Get up that shield around yourself again!

[The robots are easily blown apart by the aura, leaving nothing but floating bits of metal floating quietly in the water.]
[And... checkpoint cleared! (OOC: I have no idea how they're supposed to know when a course is cleared, but we'll say they cleared it!)]
no subject
...He quietly reaches for his pocket to grasp one hand loosely around his Soul Gem too, a little worried once more for how much it's filling up. While he trusts his heart is strong, Kyubey's warnings always make him a little anxious.]
Looks like that's all of 'em for now, huh?
[He finally mutters, squinting down at the hand that's gained splinters, and wishing there were streetlights that actually worked out in the darkness.]
no subject
[She approaches, cautiously, and notices him look down at his hand. Immediately, she produces a bright white light in her left hand, casting away all the shadows and illuminating the entire pier.] We should head back to headquarters and get you cleaned up. I'm sorry I didn't do a better job of keeping you from getting hurt; it was my fault for letting that arm get near you.
no subject
Put that thing out, [Darkbeat does hiss in sharp warning, however] every monster in five blocks is gonna get angry and come looking for us.
...I'm not mad. Accidents happen. We make a good team.
no subject
I guess we do, don't we? In the end, we got through it all.
[Then she smiles, determined the lighten the mood.] Siren's Port, beware! Your superheroes are on their way! [And a giggle.]
no subject
He waves her ahead quickly through, ducking behind a cargo container and standing in front of her to shadow the light before creatures emerge to investigate the previous shock of brightness.]
Yeah. It'll be great- C'mon, lets hurry up and try to be the first back, so we can see how all the others did!
