Castiel is the only angel with access to the levels lower than the pool, his apartment is Michael proofed, as is Magneto's office (which is also Gabriel proofed). Magneto's condo, the main kitchen, and some other places may be Hellhound Proof.))

Youko studied his profile. He wanted to help, but she had never seen him do this type of housechore. She usually insisted to take care of this when they lived in the apartment on their own. "Huh. Really?" she asked, tentatively.

"Of course! I want to make things easier for you, Youko and if helping is how I can do that, then I shall," Loki responded earnestly. Then tipped his head, "Now, I think I remember how to do this...but we must do it properly."

Loki raised his hands and the radio clicked on, L’Apprenti Sorcier coming through the speakers, "That's more like it."

"Huh."

That song was familiar. Youko didn't watch too many cartoons as a kid, neither anime or western stuff, but she had seen some classics that her father approved. Like Totoro or Snow White. That song was familiar. She remembered from where.

"Serrure-kun! Don't tell me that's..."

"Don't tell you what?" He asked, half distracted as the cleaning implements began exiting their cabinets and closets. "Come on, I need to keep an eye on the dishes so the sink doesn't run over," He grabbed her wrist and dragged her down to the kitchen where the sink was turning on by itself.

"This ended up in disaster in that movie," Youko said, half alarmed when she saw the moving objects danced before her. She gasped and and ran behind him.

"Well yes, but he was also an apprentice, I am a god," Loki replied confidently as the water in the sink began to bubble and fill. Then he frowned for a moment, mouth pursing, "On the other hand, I cannot seem to recall the dispersion spell."

"Y...You're joking right?" Youko's heart began to pound faster in anxiety. He could be trying to raise a reaction from her. She knew that. She wasn't hopelessly naive.

"Maybe," He grinned over his shoulder at her. There were still some pieces of the invocation's finish that were missing in his mind, but Loki was confident that when the time came he could patch something together.

The dishes, meanwhile, began washing themselves, sponges wiping down the counter and floors being swept and mopped.

"Don't scare me like that..." Youko would have elbowed him for that bad joke if she wasn't so restrained and stiff about her reactions. It wouldn't be lady-like, would it?

She glanced at the objects doing all the work.

"But how can I help if you're doing this for me?"

"You will do the cooking, of course," Loki replied as though it were obvious. "That is the woman's division of labor, is it not? Cleaning perhaps usually is, but magic, that takes care of things."

Huh?

She should, right? She was a girl and girls were expected to do the cooking. They should be meek and gentle, according to her father too. She hanged her head and slowly nodded.

"I'm not good with western dishes, I hope you don't mind Japanese cuisine."

He would have felt bad, but he was raised among the Aesir and they were a sexist lot. So for now, he inclined his head, "I'm sure it will be fine."

"...I'm afraid I don't know if they aren't allergic to the ingredients." Youko wasn't even sure if they had radish and tofu to make oden. It was winter and that was typically served in winter.

"Allergic? What's that?" Because Youko, gods don't have allergies. Except Balder. But Loki doesn't really recall that all too well.

Youko just stared at him and sighed. Did she have to explain something so simply? "Ahh... Maybe it's a bad idea to cook for everyone until I know if some kind of food could poison them accidentally."

"One typically poisons others on purpose, not on accident. And simply assume that they eat everything. Except Michael, avoid pork," He replied, leaning against her for no other reason than he could.

"No pork, huh? That's good to know," Youko seemed relieved. It would be mostly fish and boiled eggs for oden.

"Is it difficult to cook? Back home, I think they only spitted and roasted it, but I never spent much time in the kitchens unless it was to nick a few sweets," Loki gave a half shrug. "Either way, I suppose the smell reminds him of -ah did they have Nazis back in your world."

"Do you want to learn?" Youko asked, curious about what he had said. He was a boy, but if someday she wasn't around, who would cook? "Huh? That was in..." The 40s? "How old is Mr. Michael?"

[doeswhathewants]

"I don't know," Loki replied, giving a dismissive gesture, "Old." A vaguely uninterested tone. "Not really, cooking is in the domestic sphere- women's work." Said with the casual certainty of someone whose culture is a bit sexist. "Though I don't mind helping you."

"Huh." Youko didn't pry further. If he didn't say how old, then it wasn't her business. "Are you sure?" she asked. She was having second thoughts of allowing him near the kitchen. He promised to behaved, but he could have a funny idea.

"Positive," Loki replied cheerfully. Of course, he promised to behave but he also tended to have poor impulse control problems. He wouldn't mean to prank- mostly, he would just take the opportunity if and when it presented itself.

Then apologize. He might even mostly mean it.

"You could take a seat and watch me first," Youko proposed with a nervous smile. "I'm not as good as my mom with this, but I got it memorized."

"You fear I will reset the measurements on the cups or perhaps turn the tastes into something else?" Loki asked. "Hey! Do you think people understand Japanese here? It seems like there's some universal language everyone is programmed to know, but wouldn't it be fun to talk about people right in front of them and them not know what we are saying?"

To his credit, Loki did move to sit down and just watch, first.

"Huh."

Youko just turned around and looked puzzled. "People don't talk Japanese? Aside of the common language, they sound like they were talking Japanese, sometimes." Sometimes when they weren't talking the common tongue, it sounded like that to her.

Thank god she had a valid excuse to ignore the other stuff about the food prank.
