Who: The Newcomer Political Party and The Newcomers!
When: October 27th, 7:00pm till Morning Sirens.
Where: The Newcomer Community Center
Summary: Time for some Halloween Masquerade Fun!
Warnings: Anything is possible!

The Community Center has been transformed into a sophisticated autumn dance hall, with bits of Halloween decorations around the room. When the door opens, you find yourself in the hall before the main room, someone ready to take your coat, if you have one, and another ready to give out bracelets. That way no one who shouldn't be drinking won't be able to.

The dance floor is surrounded by a number of small, round tables, each with an elaborate centerpiece of cobwebs. There are lights within the hanging decorations, with draped fabric over the sides, to give it a more close knit feeling. At the head of all the tables is a bar serving free drinks and cocktails to anyone over age. There is also a buffet

And then, of course, there is the dance floor, where people are dancing to the music supplied by two talented DJs, lights blinking and the room ready for everyone to have a good time.

[The moment she spots the mask, she feels like it's on the stranger masks she has sees that night, but then when she sees who the mask belongs too, she can't help but smile.

She herself tonight is dressed in a nice proffy green dress and with a nice mask

She nudges him as she walks pass him and turns to face.]

[ In all honesty it just might be one of the stranger ones. At least in the current setting. If it were a typical Halloween night out on a neighborhood street that wasn't infested with monsters, well then... Jake didn't actually know if these kind of masks would be normal or not, having never experienced a normal Halloween in his life, but he's pretty sure his mask wouldn't be that odd in that setting!

He has to say though, Jade's dress and mask are probably a lot more suited to the current occasion. He tugs on his mask a little and straightens out the vest, glad for the compliment. ]

I could say the same for you, Jade.

[In Jade's eyes, she still though Jake looked pretty cool, if he wasn't designed exactly right, a vest does suit him well and he works that skull mask! Besides, she thinks her kid grandpa looks cool anyway! So, what else matters right?

She can't help but smile back at him.]

So, are you enjoying the party so far?

[ Jake will gladly take the compliment either way. While he doesn't mind some nice comments from strangers, but he personally holds the opinions of those close to him in much higher regard. Also, he's not really used to running into strangers, even after almost a year he still doesn't actually know how to take their opinions on him.

He glances around the party, looking at the guests mingling and chatting. ]

It seems like a nice enough event. I don't go to these sort of fancy shindigs all that often.

[She isn't used wearing such fancies dress, she can't help but continue to play with the ruffles of the dress, the fabric feels so nice, and well, she is a bit nervous, with so many people around. She can relate to Jake in a way, that she can only really feel comfortable around the people she cares about, though she knows this can't be like this, in such a city.]

You seem like the type to me, who like this kinda thing though! Then again, i doubt this city would have these kinda of events regular?

[ The sad truth of the matter, you almost never get to relax around just the people you are close to unless you are all shut up inside someone's house or apartment. You get used to the hustle and bustle of so many people though. At least... Jake's mostly gotten used to it by this point. ]

[ He's not sure if he should take that as a compliment or not. There are worse things you could seem the type for certainly! He always figured he was kind of a mess at parties like this though. ]

As for how often, I don't exactly know! But I don't think they're a regular occurrence, no.

[She hopes she does, she just has to keep going anyway, Jade's positive attitude has helped save her own game, so facing the city and all its demons, will help her right?]

Hmm, i guess it's more your personality! Your just seem like the type to get along with people really well!

[It was suppose to be a compliment, but at the same Jade wasn't the best at getting her point across.]

Ah, really? Hm, i guess that's pretty cool! Good to way to get to know people... But i can think something better to do!!

[ Well... one can hope that attitude will help!

And compliment it is. He hasn't had a chance to talk to all that many people before coming to the port, but he's glad to know he comes off as the sort of friendly fella that people want to get to know. ]

Ah well, I don't know about all that! But you're right about the party business. Still, I'm sure the folks around here are always open to other meet and greet ideas if you've got some you want to toss out there.
