Who: The Newcomer Political Party and The Newcomers!
When: October 27th, 7:00pm till Morning Sirens.
Where: The Newcomer Community Center
Summary: Time for some Halloween Masquerade Fun!
Warnings: Anything is possible!

The Community Center has been transformed into a sophisticated autumn dance hall, with bits of Halloween decorations around the room. When the door opens, you find yourself in the hall before the main room, someone ready to take your coat, if you have one, and another ready to give out bracelets. That way no one who shouldn't be drinking won't be able to.

The dance floor is surrounded by a number of small, round tables, each with an elaborate centerpiece of cobwebs. There are lights within the hanging decorations, with draped fabric over the sides, to give it a more close knit feeling. At the head of all the tables is a bar serving free drinks and cocktails to anyone over age. There is also a buffet

And then, of course, there is the dance floor, where people are dancing to the music supplied by two talented DJs, lights blinking and the room ready for everyone to have a good time.

[Dirk let a half smirk pull on his lips for a moment, then it returned to its normal stoic default.]

Not all adults, some teenagers too if Lalonade is anything to go by.

[He was happy to just hang by his bro for a little while too, there were still so many questions he wanted to asked Dave, things he thought that the other Strider would know or be able to explain. ]

Yeah mo- I mean Roxy is a drunk. I knew that but I didn't think it was so common?? Sure kids do it when no one is home and all, well some do. But I thought it was just a boredom thing. You never did it. [He gestures with his hands like someone really honestly confused by this. Which he is. Oh how he'll be like GOD WHY when he updates to his sister's drunk times. Instead, he's just mixed feelings on the subject of his teen!not dad.

He's happy but he's unsure how to approach things. So he just does what comes to his head.]

[If ever there was going to be a time that Dirk would remind Dave of Bro, its going to be now, as he gave Dave a light bop upside the head after the first part of his comment.]

Mind your mouth eh? She might like her drink, but she's not a drunk, she's a best friend okay? And no, I never touched the stuff, didn't see the need too, doesn't taste as good as Crusher and I get my high from strifes and my projects.

[Dirk's happy seeing and hearing Dave like this, despite what the topic is, he feels comfortable with and around him, he'd be able to tell Dave anything without having to think twice over it.]

[He lets out a surprised grunt at the bop and rubs at the side of his head.]

Sorry. [He's looking at Dirk funny, seeing the adult in him again.]

Right, yeah I never tried it either. It seemed like that thing you do when no one's around. At least, what people kept saying but I just wanted my damn apple juice.

[He does relax a little now. Finding himself a bit easier with talking to Dirk.] We should jam sometime. You, me, the turntables. Making some awesome shit. [He sounds a little shy here, like someone who is used to being told no but wants to broach the topic.]

[Listening, watching Dave, reading his reaction to him. Was he just too hard on him then? Did he over step a mark? Naw, Dave seemed to relax enough fast enough shortly after, so it must have been cool.]

Yeah, its not something I'd recommend. If its offered, I guess its polite to accept it, but its hardly a fun activity.

[To the request, Dirk actually smiled a little.]

Yeah man, I'd like that. We should get together, chill out with some beats and see what flows. I'm willing to place money on the shit that we could create, would be the bomb.

It smells weird, I'd rather stick to apple juice or coffee. At least I know exactly what's in that shit.

[He smiles a little at Dirk's confidence, and gives him a thumbs up.] Hell yeah, we'll make such sick fires that we'll set it all ablaze!

I honestly can't comprehend how Lalonade manages to consume so much in one sitting. Wouldn't change her for the world though, don't get me wrong.

[The thumbs up is awesome, it fills Dirk with a sense of accomplish.]

[He nods and gestures with one clawed hand.]

That goes without saying, I think I would be worried if you changed too come to think of it. You're not exactly how I pictured you originally, you've actually exceeded those expectations already.

[Dirk smirked at the gesture.]

I'm not looking to change any time soon. What you see is what you get with me. [He nearly freezes up at the statement about exceeding expectations. He ducks his head and rubs at the back of his neck, looking to the side.] Yeah uh, you're not how I pictured you either.

[Nothing more needed to be said on the matter of expectations, it was obvious the two brothers were impressed with each other. As far as Dirk was concerned, it was as near to a perfect meeting as it could go. He did however, raise his fist and pushed his out towards Dave for him to bump. Actions talking louder then words and all.]

[Not one to leave anyone hanging, Dave bumped his fist against Dirk's. Inwardly he wanted to do a thousand things. He'd impressed Dirk. Holy shit, he didn't even know what to do other than this.]
