[Alice's boutique, normally decorated in floral blacks and whites (prospective bridal clients like florals, usually), has been entirely transformed for the night. Thanks in no small part to Kurt's genius, the entire place decorated in beautiful blacks and golds. The place looks more like a high end night club than anything else. The jet black chandelier is hung with gold chains connected to the walls at various places, creating a shining web above the dance floor.

The handful of small dress racks there are have been emptied, and the few pieces of furniture there are have been pushed (artfully) to the walls. In their place are a few tall tables for people to congregate and converse around. The dance floor takes up most of the room, though, and a DJ is tucked in the corner ready to take requests.

Upstairs in the loft there's an extensive buffet, with everything from sushi to quiche, and a full bar up against the wall. And, because Alice is a good Sanguinarian, there's also a cooler under the bar specifically for guests who don't drink...wine. There are also a few sit-down tables if you want to actually sit down to stuff your face.

As for the hostess herself, she'll be fluttering around the most of the night, making sure everything is absolutely perfect. She's preoccupied, but she's still free to talk your ear off if anyone were to pull her aside.]

[Blaine is mostly avoiding the bar, so the dance floor makes for a good distraction. He keeps making requests to the DJ and then enjoying himself on the dance floor.

You can probably blame him if you don't like the music.]

[What Alice has set up here truly is a curious and remarkable thing. He can smell the cooled blood, as it reminds him somewhat of certain setups at the hospital, but makes no moves to get any for himself. So, he's standing by the bar, not eating or drinking anything, observing the festivities with a small smile of pride. Of course, he will interact when he must.]

[Oh she knows exactly who she's stepping up next to, semi-ignoring in favour of asking for a Bloody Mary. And while the tender doesn't give her much of a second glance ... She gets what she's ordered. Despite looking ... Well. Sixteen.

And yes, she is stealing a friendly sort of sideways glance. 'Sup Daddypire?]

[Who makes a beeline for the bar? Well, not for the reason you'd think. But as she's found, the bar is a perfect excuse for two people to talk. Both getting drinks... There, something of a topic already.

And how could she resist such a gathering. She may not have met many of the people here specifically, if any at all, but she knew them. Knew their types, preference of food, how they felt on the inside of their mind.

Besides. It's a wonderful excuse to get a little dressed up.]

[Though she spends most of the night dancing, staying with Fakir, she takes a break to get some water and something small to eat around halfway through the night. She's taking care not to spill anything on her dress, smiling and waving to any friendly faces that pass by. Of course, if anyone stops by for some conversation, she wouldn't be one to turn it down!]

[Rorschach hated being without his face. He hated being in large groups without his face. He hated a lot of stuff, actually, and it was sometimes very hard to not let that show. It was easier to not let it show with his face on, but he couldn't do that, here. He was an employee. He needed to be at this party. And he really didn't fit in with all of these good looking people.

But he was wearing the new coat that Alice had gotten him! Despite having the same ratty fingerless gloves, and not having a nice shirt on underneath the coat. The pants were clean, though. But he was definitely not going to dance, and he wasn't really interested in mingling. But he would give his employer props; despite being a blood sucking vampire, she had a very good spread, and Rorschach as Walter was very hungry. For respect to the party, and his employer, he'll keep his shoveling of food to a minimum.

So if you want to talk to this strange fellow, you can catch him in-between bites. Or you could try to drag him away from the buffet, but that won't go over too well.]

SIDE TABLES

[Jasper initially starts out the night following Alice about, helping out with shifting things to the best of his strength and setting up. But really, towards the end of it he just felt as if he was getting in the way- his wife has everything under control, she always does.

So, he sequestered himself to a table, drink in hand. Getting drunk isn't exactly what he has planned, since drinking actual alcohol is a thing he hasn't done in over a century... so he's taking it easy.

This is also the first time he's been inside Alice's shop, and Jasper can't help but feel proud over everything she's done for herself.]

[Lisbeth sat at a table that was far away from the dance floor as possible. A tall glass of beer sat in front of her as a cigarette burned between her fingers. Jesse had declined to come to the party; he seemed a little hesitant when she told him she was going. She watches the crowd from her seat, taking a long drag of her cigarette. It all didn't add up, Jesse not wanting to attend Alice's party.

But rumor had it her husband was on the island now and when she said rumor, she meant she saw it over the Network.]

ALL AROUND THE PARTY

[Here's your happy co-host, walking around and mingling whenever he's not helping Alice with everything else. He's dressed to kill as usual, with a few golden strands woven into his hair. He sips at a small glass of Chardonnay as he mingles. COME SAY HI.]

[Around halfway through the party, Ahiru notices him in the crowd, waving as she approaches with a grin.]

I like your coat! Are you having fun? It looks really amazing in here, don't you think?

[Blaine still can't believe how much he likes what Kurt is wearing. He's trying to be social, but he keeps coming back to his fiance, trying to do more than ogle at him.

He is pointedly avoiding all things with alcohol in them, of course, and has some sparkling cider in his glass.]

Everyone seems to be having a good time.

[Layla is wearing a lovely red cocktail dress that compliments her eyes, and approaches Kurt with a smile.]

[Seras wanders the party with a glass of blood in hand, a little self-concious to dance. She's enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, watching other people enjoying themselves and having a night off from work.

Her dress is black and floor length, accompanied by strappy shoes.]

[Layla will be helping Alice to the best of her ability. Although she is here to enjoy herself, she also wants to help her friend and boss throw a great party, and that means keeping on top of things. She's hoping that by helping Alice and Kurt out that they can find some time to just have fun at the event.

She's wearing a red cocktail dress that compliments her red eyes quite nicely. Layla stops over to see Alice after she's paused and adjusted the music volume to just the right level - loud enough that people can feel the beat and dance on the dance floor, but not so loud that people can't carry on a conversation with the person right next to them.]

[Crowley is generally the life of the party, but he doesn't really feel like mingling very much. Still, making an appearance projects some semblance of normalcy, so appear he does.

Mortality has not done him very many favors, but he still carries himself with a great deal of pride and swagger, despite being slightly thinner and not at all powerful anymore. Despite this, Crowley still stands straight, with his eyes on his glass of liquor. And, though she is not at his side, his Hellhound is just outside of the building. Waiting. Just in case he needs her.

This year was a relatively good one. Except for the end of it.

[Well. She can't resist the urge to go and bother say hello to her least favourite little nephew, can she? Certainly not. And, much like Gabriel, she likes her drinks sweet. Sweet, fruity and very girly. With just a touch of spice.

[Castiel has found he really doesn't like mingling either. He's not sure if he didn't before, when he was whoever he was, or if this is a new thing, but either way it doesn't matter a great deal.

He's gravitated toward a far corner just to get away from some of the sounds and the crowd, and it's only by coincidence it happens to be the same corner as Crowley is inhabiting. At least it's someone he knows, and he nods slightly in greeting.]
