Summary: A night to mingle at Merlotte's~ Good food, good drink, good music and good people await.
Warnings: idk. This is just a MINGLE POST, full o' action tags. Tag around, baby, and thread-hopping is ~highly encouraged~ There will be bouncers at the door checking ages. Characters 17+ can buy drinks; characters 13-16 will be hand-stamped to show they can't purchase or drink alcohol; characters 12 and under will only be let in with a guardian.

It's got its uses, yeah.

So- [Lets go of Jack's hand and crosses his arms on the bar top, leaning forward.]

You will be young forever, this exact age? Never sick, never dying?

[allucinator]

Never sick or dyin', anyway.

[He swallows, looking a little pale.]

We dunno if I age real slow or just don't age at all.

[doeswhathewants]

[Considers that a little more and tips his head]

Is Alice likewise immortal?

I should think that would be hard, never changing, even as everyone else around you does.

[allucinator]

[He gives a little shrug.]

Who knows how much longer I'll stay here? No use in worryin' about that sorta stuff if it ain't even comin' true yet.

[doeswhathewants]

[Mirrors the shrug]

I guess. [Then brightens] You could always come to my world. Lots of immortals there.

[allucinator]

[Which makes a pleased smile spring to his face.]

If they figure out a way that we can go from world to world, you better bet I'll visit yours. Meet your brother and everythin'.

[doeswhathewants]

Once this whole Core problem is solved, moving between universes ought not be so difficult. Ah! I imagine everyone would be able to keep in touch and visit.

[allucinator]

That's the plan, mate. And it sure would solve everybody's romance problems.

[doeswhathewants]

Ah- I'm fairly certain that is how worlds are destroyed and ancient prophecies of destruction are fulfilled.

[allucinator]

What, really? And I told you, I don't believe in prophecies.

[doeswhathewants]

Maybe.

Perhaps those things do not exist in your world, but the are quite constraining in my own, at times.

[allucinator]

[He scowls again, but waves a hand.]

Don't much matter. Oye, I had a question bout your powers, speakin' o' worlds. Theoretically, right, could you turn somebody-- me-- into a dog, but I could still keep me mind? And change back?

[doeswhathewants]

[Drums his fingers on the bar top, thoughtfully.] Oh yes, quite easily. There would still be instincts, of course- dog instincts.

[allucinator]

[He gives a little shrug.]

Easy. But . . . I mean--

[He looks nearly embarrassed.]

If it's too hard or somethin', I won't ask for it.

[doeswhathewants]

[Loki leaned in slightly across the bar, towards Jack] I'll tell you a secret, but you can't let anyone else know, okay?

[allucinator]

Go on.

[doeswhathewants]

Well- [He dropped his voice to a stage whisper and purposefully knocked over his drink.] I'm a god.

[With a twist of his hand, green light limned both the spilled drink and the cup, turning the spilled drink into a small white mouse and the cup into a green snake. The mouse fled a few feet down the bar before the snake struck, spearing the mouse on fangs, then swallowing him in gulps. With a fat lump stretching a section of muscle and scales, it slithered back over to stop in front of Loki and with another twist of his hand, a green spark of light, the cup with drink inside was before him again and no sign of the snake.] You see?

[allucinator]

[Jack blinks, fascinated (and, truthfully, a little intimidated) by the display. He's dumbfounded for a moment after Loki finishes-- but he rallies back.]

Prat. No need to make fun.

[doeswhathewants]

Just a bit of mischief. [A faint smile]

Now, why do you wish to become a dog? [And he was hoping that it wasn't for the purposes of licking himself.]

[allucinator]

[Hm hm hm. How to explain this without revealing Sirius' secret? Jack hesitates for only a second before answering.]

We got a lotta pets-- I told you about them, our children who ain't actually children. They're animals, yeah, but they're gettin' smarter cuz o' all the magic in the house, and they need somebody who can talk to em one on one. It'd be easier to manage em and help em if I was their shape.

[doeswhathewants]

[Loki tipped his head while he listened, resting his chin on his hands, elbows on the bar top]

Reasonable enough, I suppose.

[allucinator]

You wouldn't do that with your kids?

[doeswhathewants]

I do not need to. [He doesn't mention that they're probably all dead save Hela, anyway. Moodkiller and all.]

[allucinator]

Well, lucky you. So-- when? I mean, I get off my shift in about ten minutes, if you, you know, are up to it tonight.
