So you're not getting any better?
[A beat, before Teito catches that skeletal hand (after a failed attempt) then lifts it to press hard bone to his forehead.]
If your body can feel whatever illness this is, then why can't this place treat it?

[While this hospital would be more open to the idea of treating someone that wasn't entirely human, Frau didn't want to open himself up to the danger that could bring. He'd seen what Sero was capable of, and he wanted no part in it.]

[It's a very real threat. Frau will do it without a second thought.]

You better at least have some way to take care of your body here or I really will leave.
[See that look, closes thing to a petulant look he'll ever deny making.]
no subject
[Idiot. What else would he do? It's what his body was technically doing right now. What better way to get better than to sleep it off?]
no subject
I meant this... yanno... treatment or something.
no subject
[He likes his body without any extra holes, thanks.]

Unfortunately for Teito, that much movement all at once really was too much. Another wave of dizziness and vertigo had him closing his eyes as sleep tried to claim him once again. He struggled with it, not wanting to sleep yet, and managed to crack an eye before blurting out a question that only just occurred to him. Because Frau might be able to tell him if it were true...]
Frau...izzat other kid really seventy?
[And yes, he's pointing a shaking finger at Hitsugaya just for good measure.]
no subject
Don't know his exact age, but yeah, he's a lot older than he looks. Feel free to call him an old man.
no subject
[Yeah. He's sick, not stupid.]
If you're saying that, then no good can come of it.
no subject
[Just not for Hitsugaya.]
no subject
[Still not falling for it, old man.]

[Most deadpanned expression ever.]
no subject
[Except there is little doubt that Teito can picture Frau smirking right now.]
no subject
...you're smirking, like an annoying idiot. See? I know you just fine.
no subject
no subject
...did you just come here to try to get me to harass the other kid in the room?
[He meant adult, really.]

He breathed out a slight groan, then turned to curl up on his side a bit more, kicked off his covers once again.]
...why can't I shake this, Frau?
no subject
[Despite the sharp retort, Frau is once again trailing his fingers over Teito's hair to soothe him a bit.]
I don't know much about illnesses.
no subject
We're going to get better though, right?
no subject
[Frau has no intention of leaving even while Teito's asleep though.]

It was instinct and reassurance after so long with the memory of who he'd grown into suppressed, mingled with a faint fear that he'd wake up to find this freedom and this presence taken away from him once again - all fed by the guilt of allowing such precious memories to be stripped from him to begin with, and the pain it had caused his mentor because of his rash and foolish actions.
He slipped off to sleep with those troubling thoughts dragging him down, fingers clenching slowly tighter in the material in hand.]
