From the 23rd on!
In her fevered dreams, they're everywhere. Tearing apart a dark haired knight. Devouring the heart of a lonesome prince. Reclaiming the allegiance of a beautiful princess. Feathers, claws, beaks, and those loathsome sounds don't stop echoing until she wakes up, feverish and coughing.
Unfortunately, it's not often that she's awake, and during those rare moments of consciousness, coherency is a constant struggle. Breathing becomes a labor at times, and she feels like she's aflame. Those who visit won't be in for a pleasant sight.
Still, she'll try her hardest to put on a smile for any friends who arrive in the hospital room.]
UMMM okay the 23rd.
Sans the chicken. He has ways of making the soup taste great even without any meat.
Oh, and he's wearing a surgical mask and gloves, and as he steps in, he pauses - was that a small cough? Maybe he was just clearing his throat.]

The 25th!
He's fallen asleep in the cab, so when he walks into her room to greet her, he's still rubbing the sleep out of his tired eyes. He greets her with a wave and mouths the words 'How are you feeling?', even though he can't say them.
But this is why he's brought a small pad of paper and pen with him.]

The 24th before seeing Toushirou :3 (because I didn't see this ;o;)

[But even when he's coherent, don't expect things like him trying to smile reassuringly. He feels like hell -- it's too damned hot in here, he swears -- and it doesn't exactly help his mood. He will be irritable and snappish. Some of the staff have started to find it preferable when he's out cold. Visit at your own risk.
[Also, depending on the day, he may or may not be aware of this salient detail, due to varying levels of coherency.]
[[OOC: So here's our cranky patient. If you have a preference for how out of it he is when your character visits, just let me know; he's going to have good days and bad days when it comes to how alert he is.]]

So she returns to his hospital room, eyes puffy and ringed with grey, ready to sit patiently as the side of his bed once more. Shivers go down her spine at the touch of his reiatsu; she ignores them and walks towards him. Her hand comes down on one of his, her heart hurting as she feels the unpleasant heat tingle against her fingertips.
She wished she could take all his pain and carry it away for him. Her eyes gaze on his, closed and covered by pale, sickly eyelids as they are. Please, look at me, she wills him. Open your eyes and call me idiot. Call me stupid. Call me anything. Just please don't die, Hitsugaya-kun. Please.
A tear rolls down her cheek as she finally finds the voice to speak.]
Hitsugaya-kun.

/new roomie arriving~
Sleepy verdant eyes blinked slowly as they settled him in, checked his vitals once again, then slipped out of the room with a few superficially reassuringly words. And then he lay there and stared blankly at the other bed it the room.
A bed currently holding a kid with white hair.
How strange...
Wait...
There's something familiar about this kid..]
Oh.
[Pushing up to an elbow, he tried to lean forward a little bit as he mumbled.]
You're the kid Frau knows, right?

From the 24th
She hadn't thought much of it until they let slip that the boy had insisted he wasn't a child. Truthfully she had still intended to let that slide, if only because she hoped it wasn't who she thought it was...but when she inquired with the nurse on duty, her suspicion was confirmed.
It took a lot to keep from bolting down the hall to the children's wing (oh how she grimaced at that), but when she reached Toushirou's room, she tapped gently on the door, worried. ]

She was restless. The stereotype that doctors made the worst patients? Helen certainly fit that and to an extreme. She'd (more than possibly) annoyed both doctors and nurses, if not with questions and comments than with not staying in her bed. If you're coming to visit her you may be waiting a little bit if she's not there and wandering instead ]

He tucks his clipboard under his arm and catches her gently by the elbow as he comes up behind her, not surprised to catch her up again.]

The clinic | Around 9AM the 19th (closed!)
This is a bad idea. Why had he agree to this?]
Re: The clinic | Around 9AM the 19th (closed!)
Even so, he wasn't prepared for someone to suddenly appear in the waiting room, suddenly there as he opened the door. Checking the clock, he looked down at the clipboard. At least he was right on time.]
Sir, are you-- [He trails off, coming over and putting an arm under him.] It's okay. Take a deep breath. You're the man I spoke to over the network, right?
[He'll help him over to a waiting wheelchair. At this point, they were almost replacing all of the chairs in the clinic waiting room with something that could wheel people back, in case they couldn't stand.]

22nd sound cool?
platonic life-partherwatchman, Jake Marshall, hasn't left Diego's side for long since he was brought here with Maya. Sure, he went to take care of the cat and bird, check up on mail, and a few other things, but otherwise he's been with Diego, or poking his head in to check on Maya and little Pearl. Yes, Jake's sick, and it's showing - it's been harder to hide the string of coughs, and his skin is still pretty pale compared to the usual. His fever hasn't been getting any better, either, nor have the general aches and pains. And it's getting more serious with each passing day - it doesn't help that Gant has been texting Jake every morning to check up on his favorite little cowboy. He finally has had enough sense to just leave his NV at home and not worry about people being unable to reach him - even if he is starting to worry about a few things related to his job. But, they know the situation, so nothing has been crucial to attend to, work-wise. Still, he can't help feeling a little guilty about some things he still hasn't gotten to.
The nurses finally have figured out how to get Jake to eat (by offering him spaghetti) so he hasn't been as bad off as the first night or two, when he refused anything given to him except a glass or two of water. Still, at nine in the evening with little sleep the previous nights, he should be asleep. But instead, he's occasionally eating a forkful of spaghetti, mixing that with doodling in a notepad as he carefully monitors Diego's state. Any change in Diego's vitals is going to send him into full alert.]

LITERALLY A MONTH LATER, I AM THE WORST
From the 17th on - please specify day, because she'll be getting steadily worse
[While unconscious, she gets her rest where she can - sometimes fitfully, coughing every so often, and curled up on herself. It might look cute if she didn't look like a dying frog. Her hair's down, too, no sign of the tell-tale topknot]
[In any case, always open for visits - just don't get sick.]
Any time, though more protective later on B(
After collapsing on his chair, which he's moved in between the two beds, he lets out a little sigh and adjusts his hat. He checks on Diego, who seems to be sleeping a bit, and then he turns to check on Maya and see how she's doing.]
let's say 20th

May 21-26ish - the same hospital room as Ahiru once she comes in
But he hangs on. Many of his hours are spent in fitful sleep, but occasionally he surfaces into consciousness as if led back by the IV in his arm. As the week goes by, he begins to improve, though it doesn't always feel that way. But he's still here—still alive.]
May 23, during the night
Tonight, unbeknownst to the hospital staff, there will be a rather sizable tabby cat curled up at Roxas's side, what warmth he has seeping through the blankets to ease the youngster's discomfort. ]

25th Onwards
Of course, it had been a hallucination, but Ichigo's fevered brain hadn't been able to make the distinction and down he'd gone, smacking his head hard enough on the floor when he landed from falling off the stepladder to knock him out.
The dreams only got worse from then on. The concussion and the fever had knocked him out cold.
But his dreams were worse. Sometimes he was stuck beneath his mother's body, paralysed by the weight of her, hands and clothes and everything stained with blood. Sometimes she'd just be there, soothing him and stroking his brow.
"It's not your fault sweetheart, it's not."
That just made it worse, and in his dreams he'd curl into a ball in the rain and cry.
Other dreams were filled with blood. Rukia with Grimmjow's fist plunging into her. Chad lying broken on the grass. Inoue and Ishida on the tower, battered and torn as he flung Zangetsu into his friend's torso. Ulquiorra fading away into dust. Tatsuki shoving him through a window with tears in his eyes.
When he finally wakes, he's disorientated, dehydrated, and quick to tire as the illness has sapped away his energy.]
May 26th
[So stubborn, all the shinigami, to a greater or lesser degree. She manages a smile when she sees him wake, but it's a muted, sad one.]
Ah. There you are, Kurosaki-san. [Her voice is gentle and quiet, mindful of the haze he's likely in.]

SPGH | from the 19th on?
The dreams aren't the worst part of it all, but they're the most unpredictable. Many don't make sense - there are some where she walks and walks and walks and wakes up exhausted later - but the ones that do are usually old memories, and they pull her in whenever she closes her eyes for more than five minutes. Many of them are good memories mingled with strange imagery and colors from the fever; but it also makes the nightmares all the more vivid when they come. If Nill had a voice, she would have woken up shrieking at least once.
But the staff is nice, if a bit rushed, and despite her dislike of hospitals Nill is too tired to be anything but a good patient. In return one of the nurses helped to move her bed closer to the window so that she could rest in the sun on nice days.
Chances are that's how anyone visiting will find Nill - laying on her side and half curled around a pillow with the sun against her back. She'll still smile at anyone that comes in.]
