Ahiru! [Man, she's got no idea how glad Sora is to see her awake. He's been waiting to see any sort of movement from her that wasn't driven by nightmares. Being mistaken for Fakir is a little worrying, but he's so glad just to see those baby blues open and aware that he'll just about forgive anything.]

Don't worry about me. I hardly ever get sick.

I'm more worried about you... How are you feeling?

[A question that slips out, and one he wishes he could take back because she looks ... not good at all.]

[motioned]

Are you sure?

[She pauses, trying to sit up with a short grimace.]

I'm okay... How long have you been here?

[lockandkeyblade]

[Sora scoots forward a little, gestures her back down.] Hey- don't get up. You just lay back and relax. You've been through a lot.

Oh uh... I'm in tip top shape, see? [He gestures to himself, puffing up a bit just to show her how not-sick he totally is.] Anyway, I was just stopping by for a visit. Thought I'd see if you were awake.

You've been sleeping a really long time, you know.

[Or at least, she's been sleeping the times that he's dropped by.]

[motioned]

[She smiles gratefully, leaning back into her pillows. She stops to cough before she speaks.]

I have? [The last few days really have been a fevered blur.]

[lockandkeyblade]

I first found out you were here in the hospital a couple days ago when Roxas came in. Turns out you were here even longer than that.

Does it... really hurt? [He doesn't know if 'hurt' is the right word for an illness. Not to mention bad she was the first time Sora came in, hurt is also a bit of an understatement.]

[motioned]

[She shakes her head, biting her lip absentmindedly.]

No, it doesn't hurt very much. It'll be okay soon, so— [But the words, which lacked her usual energy and conviction, are interrupted by a strong bout of coughing.]

[lockandkeyblade]

[He looks on, overly worried about the other during her coughing fit. That sounds awful.]

You might've woken up once or twice, the doctors say sometimes people do... but I've always missed you. Guess I finally got lucky, huh?

Now that you're awake... maybe I can sneak you something in. Did the doctors say you were okay to eat anything?

[motioned]

Well, thank you for waiting for me so much! I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm glad you came.

I think it depends on what it is. I haven't really been able to eat that much, but I could try!

[lockandkeyblade]

Okay, then let's give it a shot. What kinda food are you in the mood for? Let's see what snacks we can sneak in.

[motioned]

Well, it would probably be best if it was small... Oh, oh, I really like those rainbow colored gummy worms! But they probably wouldn't have those in the cafeteria.

[lockandkeyblade]

Don't underestimate me! [He grins at her.] If it's rainbow gummies you want, then that's what you're gonna get. If they don't have em' downstairs, I bet I could head down to the supermarket or something.

I wonder how big a bag I could sneak in.

[motioned]

Are you sure you're okay with going? If it's too far, you don't have to. Oh, or if they're expensive!

[lockandkeyblade]

No trouble at all!

[A slight pause.] But you gotta do me a favor too...

[motioned]

A favor? Sure! Um, but what is it?

[lockandkeyblade]

Take care of yourself, okay? No tiring yourself out, or not telling the nurses when you feel really bad, or trying to sneak out or anything...

Got it?

[motioned]

Oh... Of course not! I mean, I'd probably get stuck in here longer and make everybody worry like that. Anyways, I'm not sneaky enough to get out without them noti—

[She cuts off abruptly to sneeze several times in succession.]

Without them noticing.

[lockandkeyblade]

You worry enough over everybody else. It's our turn to worry about you.

Just promise you'll do your best to get better. [That's a little weird applying it to this sickness, but he does it just the same. It's really, really hard seeing friends like this, but even harder when they're gone.]

[motioned]

But that's because the stuff that happens to them is really worrying! And I'll be fine, so... I promise.

[She does her best to smile, even letting herself laugh as she sits up somewhat.]

So how about those gummy worms?

[lockandkeyblade]

[And then as he stands, he does smile, bright and relieved. That's all he needs to hear. Ahiru can't predict how her sickness is going to go, but promises are serious business and sometimes they make all the difference.]

I'll be back in a flash, okay? Then when those nurses aren't creeping around we can pull out the gummies.

[motioned]

[She shakes her head.]

Don't try to rush too much! You might get tired and then sick. So, I'm okay with waiting a while.

[lockandkeyblade]

Don't worry! I'll see you again soon!

[Sora runs out of the room with that lingering smile. Searching the cafeteria proves fruitless, but about a block down, Sora finds just what he's looking for. By the time he returns, it's obviously he's totally up to something as he waves at every nurse who passes by. By the time he gets back to Ahiru's room, he closes the door behind him and jogs over to Ahiru's bed with a big bag of something obviously stuffed in his jacket. Hopefully she's still awake.]

[motioned]

[She nearly dozes off before he returns, but about a minute prior to his arrival, another coughing fit leaves her awake once again, hoping she hadn't stirred Roxas. When he comes through the door, she smiles again.]

Welcome back!

[It's always a little scary to see those fits, but Sora reminds himself that Ahiru's always been a fighter, especially if her friends are depending on her. She's got a strong heart, and if she makes a promise, she'll keep it.

He grins in reply as if he thinks someone else will hear, and scurries over to the side of Ahiru's bed. Once he unzips his jacket and pulls out the bag! Assorted candies including but not limited to multicolored gummi bears and worms]

Ta-dah!

[motioned]

[She blinks, surprised, before the grin grows wider.]

Oh, wow, you didn't have to get these all for me! Maybe I'll share with Roxas when he wakes up. You should have some too!

[lockandkeyblade]

[He reaches and takes a couple into his hand before sitting cross legged in the chair beside her bed.]

And if the nurses catch you? Just gimme a call and I'll sneak another bag in.
