The 24th before seeing Toushirou :3 (because I didn't see this ;o;)

[ Ella had no idea most of her friends were afflicted with the illness, or that they were in the hospital, but she had wandered into the building regardless. No matter how much she -hated- the place and its machines. ... two years and she still thought they were creepy. ]

[ It's early morning when Ahiru gets another visitor, tapping quietly on the door as she stepped into the room, somber. ]

[motioned]

[After having slept through most of the afternoon and all of the night, she's relatively awake and aware when Ella comes into the room. Enough to sit up with a smile that masks the slight grimace of pain, at least.]

Hi, Ella!

[ella_of_frell]

[ Ella smiled gently at the greeting, padding further into the room. ]

Hey Ahiru - how are you feeling?

[motioned]

I'm feeling better! So you don't need to worry about me.

[Her voice is raspy and hoarse, though, and she looks horrible.]

[ella_of_frell]

[ Ella smiles, pulling over a chair and reaching out to brush a hand over Ahiru's hair - just as much to feel her face as to offer a comforting hair ruffle. ]

I'll worry anyway. But you're in a place like this, so I'm sure you'll feel better soon. [ But you still look awful. ]

[motioned]

[Her smiles grows a degree, comforted and grateful.]

Oh, but you really don't have to! I mean, there are lots of people on the network who haven't got much worse. So I'm sure I'll—

[She stops abruptly, coughing into her arm harshly.]

I know I don't have to. I want to. [ Her smile falters to a worried look when Ahiru starts coughing so awfully. ]

Oh Ahiru. [ It pains her to see you like this. It reminded her of when she and her mother were sick. And no unicorn hair soup to help this time. Glancing around, she spied a pitcher of ice water, checking its contents. ]

Why don't we get you some water?

[motioned]

Oh - okay! Thanks, Ella. I'm sure it'll help. They brought it in just a little earlier, so it should still be really cool, too.

[ella_of_frell]

[ A nod followed, as she gets to her feet, picking up one of the plastic cups and pouring water into it. ]

It looks like there are some cubes of ice too. Here, drink slowly. [ She turned back to Ahiru to gently coax the cup of water into Ahiru's hands. ]

[motioned]

[She tries her hardest to steady her hands as she reaches for it.]

Thanks. But, um... I can take care of myself, promise, so if you have something more important you could be doing, that's fine with me!

[ella_of_frell]

[ Ella doesn't let go of the cup until she's certain Ahiru can hold it without dropping it - and even then her hands hover nearby in case of an accident. ]

I'm already doing it. [ Ella quirked an eyebrow with a teasing smile. ] Or do you want to be rid of me already?

[motioned]

Ah! N-No, I'm sorry, that isn't what I meant. I'm really glad you're here.

[Gingerly, she brings the cup to her mouth, taking a long sip of the water.]

It feels really good.

[ Ella giggles, reaching over to gently ruffle Ahiru's hair, and smooth it again. ]

I'm teasing Ahiru. [ A pause as she watched her friend take a sip of the water. ]

Good - as long as it helps. How are they treating you here?

[motioned]

They're being really nice! That's what they get paid for, after all. A lot of people have been visiting me, too, so I've been really happy.

[ella_of_frell]

Well, I'm glad that you're being treated well. With so many ill in the city, I was a little worried... [ But who would neglect a sweetheart like Ahiru? Not to mention there were good people here. ]

[motioned]

It's really horrible that so many people are sick. Oh, but I'm glad you're feeling okay, Ella!

[She takes another careful drink.]

I know ... a lot of people I know seem to be getting sick. I guess it's luck that it's missed Hattie and I.

[motioned]

I'm glad she's alright, too! Um, but... Do you know who else is sick so far? I'd like to hear if you've heard anything.

[ella_of_frell]

I'm not sure - it seems almost half the port is sick to various degrees. I've... not been able to keep tabs on everything. It's been pretty busy.

[motioned]

Yeah, it's really bad for a lot of people. It's not fair. I hope they find a way to make people better really soon.

[ella_of_frell]

[ Ella smiled gently. ]

They will. It's their job to. But I think I should let you get some sleep right now - I'll come back and visit you tomorrow, okay?

[motioned]

[She nods.]

Of course! You should get your rest. I've got Roxas here, even if he's sleeping, so I'm not alone.
