I'm a reckless goddamn son of a bitch
Who: Mary Winchester and her visitors~
When: 10/22 - 10/24
Where: Skye Medical
Summary: After surviving getting eaten by a grue, Mary has three fun days in the hospital before it gets worse.
Warnings: Injury, language, Lisbeth, and Winchesters.
[The night she comes in, the 21st, is taken up by surgery, family, and much-needed rest, but the next morning she wakes up slightly loopy from the drugs and ready to... stare woozily at the day. She has nasty scrapes on her face that required stitches, a patchwork of hideous bruises, a cast on one wrist, and bandages all over her body, including around her head, with several different IVs and a couple of monitors hooked up to her at once. Overall she looks like a hot mess, but she's coping better than anyone would expect, and when she isn't using her powers to throw things at Lisbeth, her roommate, she's taking visitors.
Some time between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, though, her condition worsens from an unforeseen complication, and she falls unconscious.]
(OOC: please reply under the top-level comment thing for the day your character is visiting. There are only three days because she'll behiatused coma'd after that, oops. 8( )

...Or it was.
A very confused and frazzled looking nurse pokes her head in, attempts to explain to Mary that "her son" is here to see her only to have a skinny, incredibly short teenage boy barrel past said nurse and throw himself upon the edge of the bed like a cat with limbs that are way too long.]
Mary, you gotta stop doin' that. My little ol' heart can't take this abuse much longer. [Ever seen a teenage boy flop dramatically on a hospital bed guardrail?
Now you have.] I don't know anyone else who can deal wit' me while I'm stuck like this.

You know, Sam and Dean are right upstairs. {Time to squeeze her arms around his shoulders in a weak hug.] Dean might not be your favorite person, but Sam's a lot better about things that are different.
no subject
As soon as she breaks the hug, he makes a face.] No thanks. If I've gotta be out lookin' like this, I'm stayin' right here 'til they throw me out. 'Least they let me in here.

And it's Mary.]
Oh god -
[Lisbeth's asleep, so he drops his voice to a whisper, walking up to Mary's side. He's holding a bouquet of flowers meant for Lisbeth, which he now clutches so tight his knuckles are white.]
Mary...

Hi, Ahiru. Come on in.

I brought snickerdoodle. Is that okay?

But that doesn't mean he doesn't slip into her dream to check on her, looking around the park. How often humans dream of parks.]
Hello Mary.

What am I doing here? What happened to the hospital?

(Friday: dream/closed to Raphael and Castiel.)
That's all theory, but the luridly bright and colored beach they're sitting on feels real. It's exactly as she remembers it- bright, beautiful, sun glinting off the waves both close and stretching out to the horizon. It's warm (as she understands it, even if it has no feeling), the air and waves, that are perfect as only the Gulf ever was. The angel sitting next to her is welcome company even when she isn't looking at him, but over the horizon with its strangely-colored clouds.]
You came back. [A faint smile.] What day is it? What month is it out there?
[She idly dips her toes into the sand and feels nothing.]
no subject
[He's watching the clouds, wondering if a storm is coming.]
It's only Friday.
[Not that he expects her to notice the passage of time. Not that it matters, not really. She'll be fine, in time, and he isn't going to rush the process.]
Where is this place?
[He could look, but for now chooses not to.]
no subject
The Gulf of Mexico. We found this little beach on our first drive down to Florida. It was so beautiful, but we couldn't stay. The town was so small, there were no jobs.
[She breathes in and it's almost salty sea air, or a vivid imagining of it.]
We used to come here all the time. All the beaches by the city were really crowded and opened up to sandbars or peninsulas, but here- it was just the gulf. There was almost never anyone here.
[They liked the privacy and utter isolation, and often abused it for nefarious marital purposes. She sighs, the memory coming back sharp and strong. Mary would offer context- why they were in Florida of all places - but she assumes Raphael knows. It was their escape after Mom and Dad, years of it.]

There's the rare piece of beach on the island, but it's different than this.
[He knows - they had kept watch.]
What did you see most out here?

(Sunday 10/28: for Jesse and John.)
no subject
He can't remember the time he had a hot shower, and the scruff he's never quite rid of has grown into the beginnings of a full blown beard. Someone got after him for not taking care of himself, but what if she wakes up while he's off shaving or something?
At least he's been brushing his teeth?
Today John's got on some godawful daytime soap, even worse than the ones back home. He's not really paying attention, but from what he can tell, Eduardo's identical brother came back from a coma and took his place at the father son picnic?
Yeah, Wheel of Fortune might be a better choice right now.]
no subject
When he finds out Mary's condition has worsened, though, he takes a break from all that. He walks into the hospital knowing her husband is probably with her, but John's not enough to scare him off at a time like this. He walks into the room with a fresh bouquet of flowers in hand, sparing John and the TV only a passing glance before moving to Mary's side.]
