Halloween Masquerade Ball

When: October 27th, 7:00pm till Morning Sirens.
Where: The Newcomer Community Center
Summary: Time for some Halloween Masquerade Fun!
Warnings: Anything is possible!

The Community Center has been transformed into a sophisticated autumn dance hall, with bits of Halloween decorations around the room. When the door opens, you find yourself in the hall before the main room, someone ready to take your coat, if you have one, and another ready to give out bracelets. That way no one who shouldn't be drinking won't be able to.



The dance floor is surrounded by a number of small, round tables, each with an elaborate centerpiece of cobwebs. There are lights within the hanging decorations, with draped fabric over the sides, to give it a more close knit feeling. At the head of all the tables is a bar serving free drinks and cocktails to anyone over age. There is also a buffet



And then, of course, there is the dance floor, where people are dancing to the music supplied by two talented DJs, lights blinking and the room ready for everyone to have a good time.



Last call for food is two hours before sirens, and then the last call for drinks is an hour before the party finishes. You might want to be careful when it gets to be that time, though. Around 1:00 am, the party is going to change, due to a series of unfortunate events. You may not be very hungry or thirsty for awhile after.

_{[It comes out flat and completely unamused as he jabs his fork into his slice of pie.]}

[littlest_lord]

<sub>[If there's one thing Ciel Phantomhive follows through with, it's threats. There isn't much of the slice left, but that doesn't stop Ciel grabbing whatever is left in his hand and smushing it right into Alois' face.

Yeah, but - but -

[He's trying to dab at his face with his fingers, but it takes him a moment to remember that he's wearing nice white gloves...

Which are now ruined..................

Why is Ciel the worst bully ever??? And they're probably crocodile tears, but they're so well done that it's honestly hard to tell, no matter how well you know him. Alois is staring down at his pie-stained gloves as though he's holding the corpse of a loved one, and a couple of tears dribble down through the pie filling on his face.]

[littlest_lord]

_{[Okay so...perhaps it had been a little uncalled for. He didn't exactly feel bad, but he didn't like seeing him cry either. Sighing Ciel took Alois by the elbow, ready to lead him to the bathroom. The less pie tears, the better.]}

C'mon, we'll clean you up.

[faking]

The rouge can be fixed, but my gloves, my gloves... I had got them brand new and they were so nice and soft.

[He gives a very convincing sniff.]

[littlest_lord]

I'll buy you new ones.

[faking]

[WHIPLASH]

Really? Thank you! I'm so glad. Can we go buy them together? [He's already removing the pie gloves to stow them away, so that he can properly link his arm with Ciel's.]

[littlest_lord]

_{[That was...unnervingly fast. Has he just been had???]}

We can, yes.

[faking]

[Had like never before. As if to illustrate that fact, Alois sweeps an index finger through a streak of pie on his cheek and pops it into his mouth.] This is good pie, [he says, despite not knowing whether that's true or not. He misses Claude's ability to allow him to taste things better.] I can't fathom why you've gone and wasted it.

[littlest_lord]

I can always get more.

_{[S i g h. Just, leading Alois into the bathroom so he can wash his face. So much for winning that battle.]}

[faking]

Ciel, Ciel. You're going to dance with me, right? Even though I don't have elegant gloves to hold your hands with now?

[littlest_lord]

I don't think I can dance to this kind of music...

[faking]

I'll lead, you'll learn. Or, I mean, I don't know. My shoes have thick toes tonight, I'll be fine. [Into the restroom! He makes a beeline for the sink.]

[littlest_lord]

I suppose I can try...for a few minutes.

[faking]

I want to dance for as long as it would take to visit the sun. [He says this sounding like springtime, as though it's not kind of weird, as he fetches paper towels from the dispenser and begins to scrub at his cheeks.] Help me, this is your awful pie.

[littlest_lord]

_{[Another sigh and Ciel is set on moving to grab some paper towels himself, wetting them under the tap before moving to wipe at Alois' face.]}

I don't.

[faking]

Because you're not as romantic, [Alois says, but it's more gentle than usual. He's learned to tread lightly there, after their last row. He leans down, too, to accommodate Ciel's reach, and closes his eyes.] I'm probably more than enough for both of us, right?

[littlest_lord]

You're overflowing.

_{[Ciel takes it upon himself to wipe a bit of the pie from Alois' nose.]}

I try.

[faking]

I know you try. [He reaches up to settle his fingers over the hand that's at his face.] I like it that you do. And I know I'm overflowing, too. I'm not trying to drown you, but I don't think I can help myself.
