Our Wedding Musical
Who: Klaine and OPEN
When: February 22nd
Where: Crow's Head Beach to Lux
Summary: Wedding!
Notes: There will be two comment threads, one for the ceremony that will be set on the beach and a reception one set in the Lux. Feel free to reply to either with where you character is and what they're doing. Closed comments between characters and open comments to welcome all are both encourages. Action spam and prose also encouraged. Basically, do whatever feels right guys!
Warnings: Will update if needed.

Kurt and Blaine were getting married today. Despite the drizzly weather of the week, they had set up an open tent at the beach. The off and on again rain of that week meant that the waves of the sea were higher, more intense than normal. That set an interesting backdrop to their ceremony.
Luckily, the weather today was better than it had been all week and though it was still a little bit on the gloomy side you'd never know it from the two grooms and the pure joy on their faces.

CEREMONY
The wedding took place on the beach. There was a trail of red rose pedals leading to alter. The chairs were covered in white cloth and tied with a blue sash. They were nestled in and protected from moody weather by a pretty but strong tent that was opened to the view of the beach.
Before the ceremony guests were ushered to their seats and settled in.
The ceremony itself was short, with only two parts. A tea ceremony that celebrated the unity of the couple and exchanging of vows. The best part, however, was that instead of coming down the aisle to a gender neutral rendition of "Here Comes the Bride" the couple sang their way down. The song of their choice was "Come What May." They had planned that song so long ago, and now they could enjoy it on their day.
Before the ceremony | Kurt and Chuck
He nervously waits on the other side of the door, dressed in a simple slim-fitting black suit and a white tie. Chuck is there beside him, and they're waiting for the cue to start walking. Kurt is still half convinced he's dreaming.]

Besides, Kurt and Blaine have been through a lot together. Chuck saw Blaine a while ago, running around looking for his bowtie, and one glimpse of the happiness there was standalone proof of how perfect this is.
He glances over and sees Kurt's nervousness bleeding through, and elbows him lightly in the ribs.]
Hey, kid, don't forget to breathe.
no subject
[He manages a shaky smile and inhales deeply. The music is about to start. Any minute now, and he'll be walking down that aisle. Just like he'd always imagined. Well-- No, not really. He'd been older in his imagination. Maybe 21. And his father would have been right next to him, not the physical incarnation of God. Rachel would have been his maid of honor, probably. Instead he's a duck, and he actually sort of laughs out loud at that.
Right here, like this? He wouldn't have it any other way.]
Okay. Yeah. This is happening. What time is it?
time for a nice generic answer 8D
[He leans in front of Kurt a little to adjust his bow tie. It doesn't really need it, but the motion of it and the distraction of something else to focus on is good for them both. And hey, it worked on Gabriel.]
Don't worry, man. If anyone tries to speak now, I can make them forever hold their peace.
[When in doubt, make a terrible joke. He's still disappointed in himself for not thinking of that one when Gabriel and Jinx got married.]
:Db
Y-yeah. Okay. It's about time now. [A deep breath, and he moves to one side and grasps Chuck's arm gingerly.]

ota!
She could keep her rings on, thankfully, but she thought it was proper that she remove her eyebrow piercing.
Now, as the ceremony was going on, Lisbeth looked down at her feet. Alice had been impressed that she was an expert in four inch heels. She didn't answer any questions about it.]
no subject
He slips an arm around Lisbeth's waist, leaning closer so he can whisper into her ear without being disruptive:]
It's pretty, ain't it?
no subject
They really pulled it together. I expected no less from them, though.
OTA
Instead, she's wearing a long coat, and she has boots that cover her legs from the knees down. She's got sunglasses on, a wide hat, and gloves. Around her, there's a faint scent of sunscreen that might seem out of place in February, but it's entirely necessary. She's got a nice party dress to wear at the reception, where direct sunlight is no longer an issue.
She is smiling as she watches the ceremony, though. It's the kind of love she'd like to have, once she gets home and has the chance to iron things out.]
Ceremony | ota
He's been a little reluctant about the whole ordeal all along, feeling the ceremony's been much too rushed, that too much pressure has been put on Franz...that his own love life doesn't quite measure up to the romantic overtures of these two madly-in-love boys from Lima, Ohio.
They're bold, to do this now. Here. Maybe they're foolish and still, in his private opinion, rushing it.
But once everyone is on the beach and the smell of sea is in the air, once seagulls are making off with some of the decorations for nesting materials, and everyone around him looks so damned misty eyed and caught up in something sentimental...
Well, it's a little bit contagious, particularly when the pair start singing at each other, and it's shockingly genuine compared to any formal signing of certificates he's ever heard about in Romdeau. If Jinx and Gabriel's big ado hadn't prepared him for this, he might have been completely stunned by the emotion in this wedding.
And he's happy for them both, Kurt and Blaine, he truly is. There's a sort of glow about them. Double dating with a married couple will seem odd in the future, but they've been joking gently about it for months now. The two will be happier now. This is, after all, what they've wanted.
He can't help but sneak peeks at Franz though, slightly nervous that he might be dreaming of the same expectations.]
no subject
He is attentive to the ceremony, and he is happy for them. They're a beautiful couple, and if anyone ought to stand a chance in this rotten city, it's those two idiots.
Franz wants to believe in them. Believing in just about anything would be grand, wouldn't it? When everything is so uncertain, it's natural for people to find each other like this. It's like an opera. Well, maybe a soap opera, at times.
You want the ingenue and the young artist together, even though you know the finale is probably tragic. You enjoy the song while they sing it, and you hold onto that vision of perfect love.
Franz notices Daedalus looking and winks. If only his latent empath abilities were telepathy instead, then he'd do more than wink. He'd tell Daedalus Can we screw in the bathroom during the reception? Pleeeeease? or something else for Daedalus to pretend isn't funny. The moment passes, though, and he returns his full attention to the ceremony.
Kurt and Blaine look so happy. He is praying to the God he only believes to half of the time that this wedding is like a beautiful, fairy tale dream come true, just like Kurt always wanted. The couple deserves that much. Whatever other opinions he has, the truth is they do deserve happiness. They're brave enough to take that risk with one another, which is more than some wretches he knows.]
no subject
To be a little more honest with himself, Franz's sneaking habits were getting less excusable, but rather than confront him about it, Daedalus had become crafty at playing hiding and distraction games. It might begin to annoy Franz, sooner or later, and then it all might come to a head- but not yet, and not today. He didn't need anything tucked into his inside pockets today, except for perhaps an extra handkerchief and two capsules, if his migraines started acting up.
The wink earns him a warmed smile, and an adoring look- later when it's time for dancing, he's sure that Franz will be pulling him out early to join the happy couple.
And it's nice. It's all very charming, and Blaine and Kurt are class acts, as usual.
He wants to as Franz what he thinks of making vows, and more intimate questions that are better left for later. He only hopes it's a subject he won't be quick to shrug off later.]
Before the ceremony | Blaine and Tim
How do I look? [He asks Tim for the 500th time that day.]
no subject
You look great. Don't worry, your hair is perfect, the clothes look good. [A pause.] You do look like you're going to jump out of your skin, though.

Just take a deep breath, and try to savor the moment.

Before the ceremony | Kurt and Ahiru
Deep breaths. He stands in front of a mirror, tying his tie. Deep breaths, Kurt.]
I'm sort of glad I decided to go with a simple ensemble. [He talks to Ahiru, his voice even more high-pitched than usual.] It's classic.
no subject
[The tone is lightly teasing, but there's a pause before she speaks again. She can tell he's nervous.]
Do you need help with that? Or - if there's anything else you need help with, you can say.
no subject
[He looks alarmed for a second, even though it's lying on a chair nearby. He doesn't seem to see it.]
Where's my jacket?
no subject
You mean this one?
[And another pause.]
You know everything's going to be fine, right?
no subject
[Another deep breath, and he holds out his arms so she can slide the jacket onto his shouldrs.]
It's going to be--not perfect. It won't be perfect. But it'll be wonderful. Right? It doesn't have to be perfect.
